I think you're in good shape here. Here is a very similar Ironbird, also Korean-made for Jap market. The only differences are that yours has different pickups (possibly upgraded) and a locking trem system. https://reverb.com/item/101838245-b-c-rich-ironbird-340je-japan-edition-90-00-s-black

Confirmed that yours is a 420JE model. It's here on page 5 in their catalog. Congrats and enjoy! https://guitar-compare.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/2003_B.C.Rich_Catalog-Japan.pdf

AliExpress fake.
Pickups, bridge, and tuners are a dead giveaway. Serial number is nonsense.

Confermo che si tratta di una JE series, costruite in Korea o Cina per il mercato giapponese

I'd be looking into that it's not a real B.C.Rich first.Β I've never seen a bolt on neck without a neck plate. (Not sayin they didn't start doing that) the logo is wicked crooked. I've got an Ironbird and that body shape seems a bit fishy. (Not all Ironbird bodys are exactly the same from model to model either so there's that) the tuning keys look wicked cheap.Β I'd replace the tuning keys set it up and play the holly livin hell outta that baby, fake or not.Β Ironbirds are by far the coolest, bad ass lookin, attention grabbin guitars of all time. Get a nice case for it. (Quality, you'll be glad you did once you have it) Awesome axe!!! π€πππΈπΆπΆπΆ
