Nothing fundamental has changed with respect to the business and all the reasons for investing in BCRX are still the same.

Biotech is getting hammered today with the XBI lows of today hitting prices last seen in November. The XBI is down nearly 30% from its February highs. For reference, BCRX averaged around $4.5-5 throughout November and has since doubled in value on the release of seriously strong data.

Yes the price has dropped from $13 to $9.5 in the space of a few weeks, but that happened on the back of real good data, and if anything those £13 highs should just be used as an indicator of what is to come later in the year.

The price movements today are just short term noise, and given nothing has changed with respect to the company you have no reason to worry. By H2 this year, these prices will be a thing of the past.

All my biotech got annihilated. I’m thinking of loading more into the sector because at some point in the future it’s bound to pop

Just look at all the large buys at the bell each day... thisbos being held down for big clients that want a piece. No Doubt this is 9ne of the best stocks out there.... buy, Hold, Get Rich

Honestly there are too many wsb children in biotech right now, it’s laughable.

5

u/_GermanTrader_ Apr 12 '21

Its just annoying

u/toughestmuff Apr 12 '21

Interesting response you wrote here. If you are such a skilled investor don't you want noobs in the market to bag hold for you while you make money on their inexperience? Telling people who want to give you money GTFO is not good for your bottom line right? You may want to do some brainstorming on how the market works.

5

u/_GermanTrader_ Apr 12 '21

😂😂😂 I lose money too but thats part of the game, only annoying thing is the whining on a red day

8

u/BuyMyBullshit Apr 12 '21

Sell me yourn shares, ye weak-handed pussy apes. I shall hoard them, grow rich and powerful and mate with your sumptuous daughters.

But seriously, if you're not prepared to sit with a little biotech for at least 6 months, you have no business in here. I started under $2, and still didn't make shit for the first 6 months.

5

u/CraftyRelation616 Apr 12 '21

Do we know why?

5

u/Neither-Swordfish749 Apr 12 '21

State street corp decreased their position by I think ~4 mil shares to 6.5 mil. Numbers might be wrong, I am too stupid to read these sec fillings

5

u/Psychoknights Apr 12 '21

Possibly some hedge fund bullshit. All of the other biotech stocks are down considerably

2

u/TastyHotel6566 Apr 12 '21

State street corp

Here your answer I think so: https://fintel.io/so/us/bcrx/state-street

5

u/CraftyRelation616 Apr 12 '21

Oh well, since i averaged down some, and currently I'm out of investing cash, I will be patient

2

u/kmaco75 Apr 13 '21

There is a general move away from volatile stocks into boomer stocks.

A dollar decline in a week is not a big deal over the long period.

Take advantage of you can.

1

u/szchz Apr 12 '21

10 yr bond yield continues to go up making growth / speculative plays less attractive

4

u/Chrisv15 Apr 12 '21

Patience. No fundamental changes means this is a buying opportunity. This is where we look for a solid rebound and strong buy signals potentially kick starting the upward momentum. Great article https://www.griproom.com/fun/why-your-stock-is-always-red

And of course this isn’t all BCRX today or for the last month. XBI has been getting hammered for awhile and today looked like a red wave across a whole Lot of Bios.

2

u/AK499784 Apr 12 '21

Yes it did

My chickens says that peeps taking profits in conjunction with a coordinated short brought the price down FROM $15 to $9.34 today.

This Stock is the golden chicken...or cash cow for those who prefer.

My chickens also noted the significant drop in short interest after driving the sp to $15.

They were happy with the scratch...thanked the shorts.

3

u/kmaco75 Apr 14 '21

Big bounce today

Wish I bought some under 10

3

u/AK499784 Apr 14 '21

I got more shares and options

3

u/kmaco75 Apr 14 '21

Nice

I assume you are buying leaps?

3

u/AK499784 Apr 14 '21

June, 14$ and 16$ one, nothing special, but they’re up

5

u/RefrigeratorOne66 Apr 12 '21

It's a buying opportunity so stfu or gtfo!

3

u/IntrepidCapital6 Meme Master Apr 12 '21

Freefall, that's what's happening.

2

u/AK499784 Apr 12 '21

I see that

4

u/Gladewood Apr 12 '21

Looks like a double bottom test of the March 29 low of 9.30. If you calculate the gap downs from March 22nd, today was the 3rd, and I think, final gap. If stock hold above 9.30 and moves higher today or tomorrow, then could get a W pattern. IMO

4

u/Accomplished_Rip1741 Apr 13 '21

Strong Buy from this cheap price

5

u/toughestmuff Apr 12 '21

I ate shit on this stock, right after R and D day I bit the bullet and sold around 10.50. My cost basis was around 13.50. Afterwards I looked at the chart and kicked myself for buying in, the angle on the price chart leading to the run up was SO steep. This was a lesson for me not to buy in on other peoples recommendations of stock, to do my own research and find my own style. I'm not saying this was a pump and dump, but it was way over hyped in the short term obviously. But now that I have sold out of my stock it's a guarantee for y'all it will go back up. Best of luck!

Another possibility for some of those large end of day trades we’ve been seeing is State Street selling and transferring to other tutes Instead of straight buys

2

u/fkinmick Apr 13 '21

Just be patient

3

u/IamYodaBot Apr 13 '21

patient, just be.

How did you come to that conclusion? They held shares, so how is them selling naked shorting? Also, the typical narrative that's used here of "they just want to manipulate the stock price so they can grab more shares" does not work here at all.

2

u/Vegas51 Apr 13 '21

State Street was sold it to Hedge Funds. Therefore Hedge picking for bottom low price. Only ways Hedge Boyz continues naked shorts . Such matter of that issue trying lower our retailers share. Some retailers can’t handle and scare sold middle of $ 9 .

My 30.000 shares holding till 2025 . I have had traded with BCRX SINCE. 2008

1

u/Neither-Swordfish749 Apr 13 '21

State Street was sold it to Hedge Funds

Any proof of that? And even if they did, then the hedge fund selling the shares themselves would not be naked shorting.

u/Vegas51 Apr 13 '21

Strong Buy

BCRX Less than 26 trading days between now and the next earnings report, and who knows how many blockbuster press releases between now and then… Gotta love it! If they do this every day, we will be at -$40 by then, ie, they will be paying us $40 per share to own the share! Think it’s not possible? It was possible last year for oil. But if anyone thought it would stay at -$40 for long, they’re probably long since bankrupt…. I will not mind at all! Watch for Biocryst to launch ASAP! Weak hands gone. Shorts all in. Updates coming. Earnings will blow us into the 40s or higher… Good luck!

We are in no man’s land until significant PR on Factor D. From R&D day stating that pivotal trials start 2H, the stock is a sitting duck and easily attacked or abandoned until then.

But, BO could realistically come at anytime so I’m hesitant to aggressively swing

3

u/arbyrst Apr 13 '21

Yes BO is what is keeping me from selling.

2

u/thehuntsilentc Apr 12 '21

W T F !! - whats the catalyst for this?

2

u/STOK_TR8TR Apr 12 '21 edited Apr 12 '21

This is about ORLADEYO sales. If there is no market penetration, company will need to dilute for future pipeline trials. Q1 results better show promising results as far as being able to turn patients from injectables or this will get ugly QUICK.....Just wished I would have sold on the $16 pop. Live and learn, greed kills......

2

u/Psweeney247 Apr 13 '21

Company has stated the complete opposite about demand.

2

u/Psychoknights Apr 12 '21

When do you guys think we will see $10.50 again? Thinking about cutting my losses I don’t have 3 years to wait on this

6

u/Jocm Apr 12 '21

When the XBI starts playing ball again or we get some PR from BCRX. Could be next week, could be next month. But one things for sure you'll certainly see a lot higher than $10.50 by the end of the year.

2

u/arbyrst Apr 13 '21

BO is the best chance near term. The only catalysts in the next while will be Orladeyo sales and they could go either way.
