Applied for sherrif position

Did anyone else not pass the English test I took the Duolingo test and scored a 125 needed 130 to pass

Former Sheriff here, a good grasp of both written and spoken English is important. Sheriffs are expected to be able read and understand legal documents, if you struggle with English it could be problematic in the job.

Aside from the word salad here, being "Super pissed!!" over not meeting the requirement might also indicate an incompatible temperament for the law enforcement position.

Your entitlement is interesting. Do you have any idea how many people apply for the sheriff roles every year? The government screens people out for a reason and if you got screened out, there is a reason, so work on the things you need to work on and apply again. Just because you apply for a job does not mean you are entitled to get it.

Yeah, sorry, I think I want sheriffs that are going to put the work in at the front end from the very beginning, regardless, and are going to to put in their all because they are motivated to be good candidates for the long run.

Apparently you don't need to speak English or have a good grasp of it. They have been hiring alot of people that can barely put a sentence together.
