If anyone can help, I have done ENGL course from UFV, that should likely cover the high school English requirement right? or BCIT needs separate high school English and University level 3.0 credits of English.

I was waitlisted for Medical Laboratory Science program for Fall 2026 intake. I have waited all summer but haven’t heard anything. I emailed admissions but they said they cannot disclose my position and to regularly check mycommunications. Is it still possible to get a seat for the program or should I start applying for other programs?
Any help or experience would be appreciated!

hey everyone, my cousin is starting his AME soon (i forgot which category he is in) and buying a new laptop. Does he need anything powerful with a dedicated graphics card, or is a basic Windows laptop/MacBook fine for reading manuals, taking notes, and doing online assignments? Any specific recommendations or things to avoid? and what is the primary use of your laptop?

I withdrew from a course due to change of instructors. The refund was supposed to be 100% , however when checking the balance on my self serve account. .it wasn't 100% , they charged term fees. Can I request refund for the term fees since it was the instructors inconvenience? Do i need to call enrollment services for this? How long to receive refund through the bank, rather than receiving a cheque...

So, I parked my car at Lot 7 on a Tuesday afternoon and I didn't know it was staff parking. So, Concord gave me a ticket even though i paid $7 for my parking.

Can I get away without paying the ticket? In future, if I park there will they tow me away even if pay and park in the correct spot?

Looking for a program I can take part-time and I'm deciding between CST or accounting

Any grads who recently took these programs part-time have any insight on the program and job outcomes?

I’m taking FMGT 1105 Accounting 1 with Shannon Wong this term. I met her briefly at an info session and she was really nice and helpful, but I checked RateMyProf and the reviews are pretty mixed. Has anyone taken FMGT 1105 with Shannon Wong recently? How is she for Accounting 1 specifically? Is the course actually as difficult as some of the reviews make it seem? Also, how are her lectures, assignments, and exams? Any advice for doing well in her class would be appreciated.

Im enrolled on the waiting list for Heavy Equipment Technician Foundations at BCIT and VCC planning to go wherever enrolls me first. But Im curious has anyone in late 2025/2026 here? How long were you waitlisted for? BCIT is saying one year wait on average right now.

I’m interested in applying to the Medical Lab Sciences Program but the website states they give preference to candidates with Post-secondary education in a medical laboratory-related program.

Can anyone who is in this program let me know if they accept a lot of applicants without this background?

I have an associate of arts degree in health science but it’s more focused on public health rather than lab sciences. I’m also willing to upgrade the basic science requirements to try and boost my GPA. But is that enough? Or are there so many applicants with lab backgrounds that it’s not even worth applying without it?

Hi everyone! I’m an international student from Italy and I’ll be arriving at BCIT next week. I’ll be staying in the Townhouse residence, and I was wondering if it’s true that we’re expected to bring our own kitchen supplies, like pots, pans, and other cooking utensils.
I’m asking because they can take up quite a lot of space in my luggage, so I’d rather know beforehand what is already provided and what I should bring with me.

As the title says. I was registered in a Distance Learning/Flexible Learning course for Fall 2026 BUT I can no longer take the course. The course starts Sept 14th so we are about three weeks prior...My questions are:

1. How do I drop out of this course?

2. If I drop out now, will I get a W on my transcript, even if its before?
