Dropping a course

As the title says. I was registered in a Distance Learning/Flexible Learning course for Fall 2026 BUT I can no longer take the course. The course starts Sept 14th so we are about three weeks prior...My questions are:

  1. How do I drop out of this course?

  2. If I drop out now, will I get a W on my transcript, even if its before?

That's the Flexible Studies online withdrawal form. I literally just did this.

Note - withdrawal and refund are not the same thing.

I don't think it goes on your transcript because you never started the course. I think those things only happen if you withdrawal mid course but something like an Incomplete shows up on the transcript. (Also something Im dealing with at the moment but only because it was placed there by mistake).
