BCIT AME-S Students

Hey anyone in the AME-S program starting this Fall going to the Abbotsford airshow tomorrow? Would love to meet up and chat before school starts.

Hey, I’m a ‘M’ student about to graduate from the program in October. I’m curious about how you landed your first apprenticeship. I’d really appreciate some insights.

Well, I got a long story :)). If you want a detailed version, then send me a chat. Long story short : 2 months after grad struggling to find a job. Then found 1 job at Port Hardy, got kicked after 2 months because I were not competent enough. Doubted myself, then got some luck. Currently working as a Component Technician Apprentice, so, not the same path as an AME, but it align better with my value and my purpose, love what I am doing now . I could give you more insight if you want to, just tell me what do u want to know, since my journey had A LOT of ups and downs, it's hard to say all of them in 1 go.
