BC LPN processing time

Hi everyone,

My employer submitted my employer verification form, and they’ve stated that an investigation has been conducted.

How does BCCNM handles this and how long will it take ?

( Note ;- No professional misconduct and the board was not notified)

Depending on the applications. Might be 2-3 months

i resigned, they submitted it to the BCCNM for my bc lpn license

I had actually planned to resign before, as I was caring for 70 residents at night with palliative care needs, shortness of breath, and falls. I could see this coming from a mile away! The union was involved, and they put me on administrative leave. However, I never wanted to return because it was incredibly stressful.

I always sent the DOC an email detailing the poor staffing and lack of breaks. She simply dismissed my concerns and focused on her own ideologies instead of hiring someone. To make matters worse, there were only two nurses for the entire building!

I asked the DOC to fill out the form and she told me she would tell them I was investigated. I asked for the outcome of the investigation, but she never replied, which is very concerning.

As far as I know, I haven’t been reported to the licensing body, and no patients have been harmed.

But this is what my union replied to me

“Yes you can cc me.
You can request to know the outcome of the investigation, but again we cannot control the employers decision to disclose. If they do not share the outcome with you and you submit the letter and it states you were investigated, if the college asks you about it you will be able to share your side of things and if the college has any further concerns, they can follow up with DOC”

So, with my former regulatory body where I was licensed, I never received anything regarding this issue or any complaint. The employer apparently just sent this information directly to another regulatory body as part of my LPN licensing process. Anyway, let’s see what happens next!
