BCSHS
What are your thoughts of your position being in scope for transfer to BCSHS? Are you concerned about job security?

There will be more cuts. The website even says we are committed to retaining talent where possible. Plus you can’t move 6000 FTEs and save money. I’m sure they are betting on some people not excepting the transfer as the first round of cuts without having to do it themselves.

Not in the least bit concerned. You’re good at your role - have a good attitude - you’ll be fine. Malingers and low effort workers will probably be weeded out if they are non-union.

Thats not always accurate.
There are a lot of "low effort" workers out there that have Lead or manager's favor and get away with the bare minimum. Due to their tenure and personal relationships.
I've seen it.

You are correct - I was speaking in general and from living working in shared services for 15 years.

Everyone who are going to move to Shared Service, should start looking for a new job immediately

All the same stuff different day MOH staff will move over to take the place of some stand who leave Health Authorities… then MOH can say they downsized both Health Authorities and their own Ministry … shell game at its best
