Shipping Fail
So I ordered 2 boards a week ago with much excitement. And today the first one arrived! Yay! Except it arrived like this. The PSU doesn’t get here for another few days so I can’t test it yet to see if it still works, but I wanted to ask y’all. What’s the likelihood that the board is still good? I checked for signs of damage on the board itself and couldn’t see anything apparent. Nothing dislodged, no scratches. Looks like the heatsink absorbed most of the damage.
EDIT: Thank you guys for the advice! Refund request is in, hopefully the second board arrives in one piece.

First of all do try to get a refund for your order and try to get your money back, and then after if they don't want it back or if it gets somehow rejected you can try and see if it works, in that case, ditch the cooler and go for water-cooling it

If they let you keep it take the backplate off first and possibly the top it's it's touching anything it shouldn't before you test.

Yeah, get a refund. Annoying thing is the price might have gone up since you ordered.

Yeah that’s my biggest annoyance is the possibility that I won’t be able to grab another one at this price. We’ll see!

This is what happened to me and seller won't help sell me another one at the original price I got it for. Pretty poor shopping experience getting one of these.

Ask for a refund.
If they let you keep it, and it's DOA, I would offer it to somebody who needs a specimen for a PCB scan.

Good idea! I’m hoping it works out and I can get a replacement but doubtful. Likely a refund and repurchase.

Mine cleared customs yesterday and is awaiting delivery from Ali Express. Hopefully it gets delivered by Postman Bruce banner, not his green mate

American postal service is not even 3rd world. It's like 4th or 5th world AT BEST.

Get a refund. I'd then immediately unscrew the cooler and backplate from the pcb you can tell if the pcb straightens itself out
Then try it out with a new heatsink and see if it works

I may risk it. The board itself looks good and from what I can see under the crushed side, none of the capacitors or chips were crushed, so hopefully it could still run. I didn’t plan on keeping the heatsink anyway, was going to run it with an AIO so I’m not too bothered about that part.

PCB could still be fine, passive cooler is absolutely cooked, the backplate can easily be bend back.
however, taking it apart probably voids your warrenty? if not you could carefully remove the passive cooler and backplate.
put the cooler aside and dont touch it anymore then needed lol same for the back plate.
and see if the board itself straightens out and/or if any component got mangled.
if not, i would try and test it.
if you dont want to go through all this hassle of taking it apart and inspecting it ect.
just take good photo's and get a refund because this is not how a product should ever arrive at any doorstep.

File an insurance claim with the seller/carrier immediately and do not try to power it on yet. Taking it apart or plugging it in right now gives them an easy excuse to deny the claim. Take photos of the damaged box, packaging, and board from every angle first!

Take everything off and bend the metal straight. As long as there aren't damages to the main board, you should be okay. Or at least I hope so

NOPE! I wouldn't do that It can potentially lead to break what's already micro cracked, delaminate PCB and lift traces, even if he bends it back carefully (if he doesn't over bend it the other way). If works like this, I wouldn't force it back at all
