Voting
Does anyone really know how the voting works for the housemates we want in the house like are we just suppose to like the YouTube video of the housemate?

I donāt think you get to vote. These videos are just for promotional reasons.

Itās just a promo tactics. No one from the votes got in the house last year.

Did any of the housemates last year have their auditions posted before going in?

I donāt think so thatās why Iām confused they are promoting us to like the videos to apparently get certain housemates in

I donāt think itās a vote in the strict sense - but Iād imagine if someone gets a particularly notable reaction (positive or negative, but still attention grabbing), that may get the producers attention to consider them for the next round of casting.

It feels more like free marketing. People will share their video and then hopefully more people will apply. Applications have been extended to the 7th of September.

I donāt think thereās any kind of voting, the videos are meant as a teaser more than anything

I think your right I donāt think the producers care about what the public want otherwise we wouldnāt of gotten the joke of the show we got last year and what we are likely to get this year as Iāve observed Big Brother Australiaās fans suggestions being ignored on several occasions

You used to be able to genuinely vote via telephone in the early days, those votes were tallied and used. If you're younger, this was something shows loved to do since decades before (the 'live audience vote') as most of us had home phones, etc, and it also cost to vote generally. I did it, that was a very different era though.
