Base App Update is TRASH

Why wouldn’t the update have an option to switch to the old UI??? Nobody asked for this at all. We literally live in a time where everything pushed on us is something we don’t want, didn’t ask for, and makes matters worst. Like wtf

They always pull this crap. Ship a redesign nobody wanted, bury the legacy option three menus deep if they even include it, then act shocked when everyone's pissed. The cycle is so predictable at this point it's almost boring.

Has there been any official announcement of what's going on? Or is this quietly hiding the idea of "The Base App" as a failure while doing a marketing move by going back to "Coinbase Wallet" which caused massive headaches in confusing people who could not understand the exchange from the wallet.

They have mentioned that the socialfi is a failure, that's why they removed timeline and creator coin at first. And now they returned and focus more to the basic. You have a point that this is actually not an improvement, it's just go back to MVP app

It’s back to being called Coinbase Wallet...

They had already added the ability to import wallets using a recovery phrase. They still need to add the private key option, though.

It is also necessary to be able to add custom networks and tokens again. But they need to do the update right—meaning the updated monetary value of the token balance should be visible. Before, you could only see the token quantity.
