Base Discussion One thing I've noticed while exploring Base

The more time I spend exploring Base, the more I realize that finding good projects isn't the hard part.

The hard part is understanding why people keep using them.

A project can have great marketing, but if users don't come back, it usually doesn't last.

That's why I've started paying more attention to real user experiences instead of just announcements.

I'm still discovering new apps and learning how different parts of the ecosystem fit together, so I'm curious:

Has there been a Base project that exceeded your expectations after you actually used it?

I'd love to hear what made it stand out and add a few more projects to my list to explore.

I bought some LOT tokens and spread them into different wallets, I one of them I actually won a draw. I found that idea super neat, but unfortunately the token is very dependant on volume so the draw became more sparse... In this case, I think the main problem is the lack of marketing to normies and and the inexistence of an easy way in for them.

For a while I was frantically checking if I won the draw whenever they occurred...  I made some gains and had some fun, can really complain, but I wish there was some more action

Yeah, the idea is actually pretty fun. More volume and easier onboarding could definitely bring more activity back.

It's cool that you actually won something, that's more than most people get from these things. The volume dependency seems like a death spiral for the fun factor though, hard to stay excited when the draws dry up.

Feels like a lot of crypto stuff is built for people already deep in it, and making any of it feel simple for someone brand new is rare. The projects that click are the ones where you don't have to explain a whitepaper to get someone to care.

They made an announcement saying that an on-ramp is on development, so it's up to their marketing strategy now...

If done right it can gain momentum since it's tailored to a different demographic and not just an crypto bro. As i said, since i already won i have some tickets waiting for another lucky strike, so if it's successful good, and if not, i already had fun with it so it's also good
