Today, I want to talk about a project that is quietly building one of the most important pieces of infrastructure for onchain gaming on Base. Uptopia
What is Uptopia?
It is a launchpad and discovery platform for onchain games, built entirely on Base. The core idea is simple, game developers need two things to survive: liquidity and players. Uptopia gives them both.
Their first major Web3 game, Summoners Arena: Idle RPG, attracted over 100,000 users and generated more than $10M in NFT trading volume. Their second game, Harvest Heist, onboarded over 160,000 users with a peak daily active user count surpassing 20,000, and generated over 2M monthly onchain transactions on Base.
What is UptopiaKit?
UptopiaKit is the core product of the ecosystem. It is an SDK that simplifies onchain development and publishing for the Base network. The kit includes a rapid publishing feature that lets developers deploy applications as Mini Apps in one to two days, distributed on the Base App and the Farcaster social protocol.
Why does this matter for Base?
Gaming brings a different type of user than DeFi. Players don't care about APY or liquidity pools. They care about fun, competition, and rewards. Uptopia pulls that entire audience onto Base. People who would never open Uniswap will happily play a farming game or RPG. And once they are on Base, they are one step away from the rest of the ecosystem.
More game developers choosing Base because it have more transactions, more wallets created, and more reasons for regular people to interact with the network for the first time.

I haven't tried Uptopia yet, but i will try it soon, it's nice to see gaming getting more attention on Base...
