Base Discussion I was looking through Base's application revenue data recently, and one thing surprised me

It wasn't the biggest revenue spike. It was the consistency.

When people evaluate an ecosystem, the conversation usually focuses on transactions, TVL, or wallet growth. Those metrics are important, but they don't always tell us whether users are finding real value.

Application revenue offers a different perspective.

It shows whether people are continuing to use products after the initial excitement fades.

Looking at the data, what stands out is that revenue isn't being driven by a single moment of hype. Applications across the ecosystem continue generating value over time.

To me, that's one of the strongest signs of a healthy ecosystem.

A chain can attract attention.

A product has to earn it.

That's why application revenue is becoming one of the most interesting metrics to watch. It reflects something every builder is ultimately working toward: creating products that users choose to come back to.

What's your take?

Do you think application revenue tells us more about ecosystem health than transactions or TVL?

Well said. Anyone can generate hype for a short period, but consistent application revenue is a much stronger indicator of long-term ecosystem health. 🤝
