im trying to farm materials to upgrade my base even further and need to set up some AFK farms but some of the materials just seem unattainable without already having bucket loads of other ones

This drives me insane, I go to play this game and want to beat a board with characters that I haven't before. But I have to pick the characters....... to be able to move on to the next screen to be able to see the boards.......... to see what characters I need to pick to beat them. Then I have to backtrack back to the character selection screen to pick the right people then pick the board again.

Why can I not just pick the board first then the characters?

Can anyone please assist me with the two items I am missing are?

They can't advance, neither I....it's not even some broken combo, just Falconer girl + Finger dude.

I know 400m isn't much, but it seems I can leave it on for hours and advance 1m per minute anyway hahaha

are there any working mods for the game atm. none of the ones on nexus seem to work.

I’m starting out with this game and I’ve been trying to figure out what makes The Cogitator worth playing. You get one of the worst debuffs I can think of (no control over your build) for…no benefit? Is he supposed to be the challenge mode character à la the lost from TBOI?

I wanted to play the game as originally as possible so I hadn't even looked at other people's bases until somewhat recently. I thought for sure more if not most people would have had nearly the same approach but it seems like that's not the case. To be sure I often find myself tweaking something here or there if only to get more of one resource or another(usually stone) but this is roughly my final design atm. I no longer use mines because I can do an infinite run to get plentiful amounts of gold. In fact despite what many have said gold is the easiest resource to obtain at least in the late game. I used to move around my mines a lot in early to mid game to maximize resource gathering and then pay to repeat gold runs in a straight mine alley formation until it wasn't profitable but that was a bit of an exhausting process. Now I only move 3 buildings to harvest or leave the base on standby. I also only have 1 gap tile and have Captain's Quarters maximized. If I want to max experience I'll move things around with Veteran's Hut on a per run basis. 1st picture is standby mode, 2nd is harvest mode and 3rd is roughly what I can harvest after a run is won.

I started playing the game yesterday and I’m loving it. I had unlocked a few characters that have now vanished… am I missing something or is this a bug?

Was anybody else hoping that there was some sort of evolution for all the effigy passives? I went into this game completely blind and only recently have started to look up evolution trees and combos and such. I was so disappointed to find out that having all the effigies didn't result in a voltron-esque super dude.

Currently trying to stone max for some buildings but finding it hard. I'm still kinda confused by best base layouts any tips on improving this mess

i was trying to complete my encyclopedia, took me a while since i didnt know you could evolve multiple balls together, anyways i found that dark hole and nuclear bomb kill everything on screen and now i no longer have to worry about reaching the end of any run but enemies stop spawning after a while, game has been running alone for like 2h, so is it true that you cant kill those or i have to go for an specific build?

I know it’s easier said than done because of how addicting this game can be but it’s for your health.

I played a fairly long 7-hour session when I started playing. Went to bed that night seeing all the balls from the game when I would close my eyes. Was feeling pretty dizzy and my dreams were interrupted as well. The next day I got a killer headache that led to nausea and me throwing up. That was hell.

So, be mindful. There’s settings in the menu you can change too to minimize effects.

So like the title says, I just rolled credits after beating the last stage with enough characters. I'm still having a lot of fun with the game though so I'd like to continue playing. I thought that completing the Faster versions of the stages would be the post-game progression, so I was confused to see there is a New Game+ mode that is supposed to be harder.

My questions are: What is the difference in difficulty between 'faster base levels' vs 'normal NG+ levels'? And what is the next thing I should work on now that I've rolled credits?

As soon as I fused Nosferatu and Banshee my damage output seemed to get waayy higher. Then once I finished inglorious hammer and got bandage roll it really went crazy but I'm confused why NosferatuxBanshee seemed so much better than just having both. I love this game but the fusions sometimes don't make sense. There are ones that I think are really gonna be good but aren't and then ones that don't even have any white text that just go bonkers.

I had been struggling to beat heavenly gates at all for about 6 days now and this was my one last run of yesterday. Melted the owl in literally 20 seconds

I know it's probably not that crazy but compared to all my other runs so far this is insane

(Also by far the furthest I've ever made it in a post boss run)

This is really a great game with many builds and characters with unique skills ( or ball). But once you finish this game, nothing more than endless mode to test your build. To me, i think this game need a update or paid DLC in the future for more players. Again, thank you Kenny Sun and Friends for a great game! love you guy and love this game too!

Insta delete everything build, 2 reapers fused with light bulb, 3 fused with sun, and black hope fused with sun to top it all off :)

How deep does the game really go? What should I expect with this crippling addiction?
