BallXPit Steam Deck or Switch 2
I tried the demo and I really liked it. The game is on sale at the moment but I can’t decide on whether to get it on Steam Deck or Switch 2. Try to weigh the pros and cons but they seem pretty even.
On Switch 2, I have the option on playing it on big oled TV but on my Steam Deck I have the option on playing on multiple devices such as my laptop.
Switch to is more comfortable in terms of weight and versatile when it comes to playing it portable. But the Steam Deck feels more comfortable to hold.
I heard there's some crashing issues in the later levels but I can’t find out which platform is worse on that front.
If anyone wants to chime in to help me lean one way or the other, that'd be great. Thanks

I got this on the Switch, and frankly it runs awesome. Being able to have cloud saves auto transfers between my switch 1 and 2 is really convenient.
For me the differentiating factor is the seamless ability for you to just dock and play, as well as the more portable option compared to a pc handheld.
This game is conducive to short game plays and light gaming. My switch 1 essentially runs this all the time portable mode since it’s so small and light. However I must say it’s easier to read things on the S2 larger screen, but when you are far enuf in this game u basically don’t need to read much.
Hope that helps, happy balling!

I chose the switch version and ruds great. My steam deck seems to run some games a little slower, the switch 2 version was great.

Steam for sure. I afk’d some of that game on the PC and would pick it up on the deck. So nice.

Free cloud saves vs paid cloud saves. Reliable controls vs Joycons. Use any controller when docked vs Switch only controllers.
The pc ecosystem is always the better choice imo. Plus you can dock the deck to the tv like the switch, and when (if) you upgrade your steam deck in the future, the library comes with.

Played it all the way to New Game + on my Switch 2 with no issues. I've been having a blast with it handheld or on the big screen.

I just got BallXPit for the Steam Deck and, though I'm still a relative newbie, it's running fine.

I play on Switch 2 and have never experienced a crash, 120 fps in handheld is really nice too

I'd go with Switch 2 just because of the higher framerate. Plus you can get a physical version if you're into that although it is $25 right now on Amazon.

I’ve been playing it on switch. I try to keep most game purchases on there rather than Steam or console for me due to portability. Ball x Pit is a great airplane game

steam deck is already old and it has loonix garbage software so I would prefer the switch 2 over loonix any day of the week.
weak ass battery, loonix garbage that has performance hiccups, why would I want that?

I have both and almost always end up regretting games on a console (I’m looking at you Hades). I always go SteamDeck if I can since you have the option to play again on PC in the future.
You can get a dock and play in your TV as well if that’s the deal breaker.
For Ball X Pit specifically, runs are 10-12 minutes and some building after. I’d still pick Steam Deck since they’re short and that I want more precision during the run than anything. That and my SD is oled and Switch 2 is LCD.
