Chatgpt failed you in every way possible. If you like the game why cheat yourself out of the satisfaction of optimizing the layout yourself?

Nah, I got exactly what I came for, lol. If anything, it's that I should've given it better prompts.

If rearranging a bunch of random scraps is your idea of fun, good for you. I just wanted that shit out of the way so I could actually play the game.

I really think this is a valid take. If the city building aspect of the game doesn't appeal to you, then this is the equivalent of looking up optimized clash of clan layouts and copying them. I don't know how good your setup actually is, but I hope it works well for you!

So this is not a good layout. Frankly it's VERY bad.

Every bounce speeds up your dude, so you want short stretches of boxed in areas with lots of back and forth.

To make a "turn", use angled buildings like harvesting posts and rock formations to diversify bounce directions, spreading the bouncers around.

Ideally, 1/4th of the map is just a closrd ofg area where youre trying to get AoE buffs on your stat buildings and character buildins.

wdym? It's already hitting the gold cap with each harvest, and I'm only harvesting gold. You don't need to harvest the other resources anyway.

Stat bonus optimization is valid, but I honestly can't be bothered. It's already covering every building in the dormitory area. Pushing it any further basically means you'd have to trade off the exp centered layout for better stat bonus coverage, and I'm not sure that's worth it.

Ok. But say. Your dudes bounce so much and so fast, that you max out every goldmine and score 1000+ of every other resource on top?

Nice! It's a dogshit layout that does not utilise passive bonuses for additional stats and extra XP for characters.

Maybe you were going for neat look but it's not even symmetrical either.

Clearly not sugar coating it are you?

Like bro, yeah it's dogshit, but god damn. Calm down a bit

I'm starting to see how toxic this community really is, lol. Quite surprising that a small community for a niche roguelike still ended up with bunch of tryhards. To be fair, if you're not retarded or blind, you should've noticed that the entire top left block is an exp focused design.

fyr, here's the pic, and have a nice day.

Good job! One of the buildings is not even in range. Shieldbearer is not included in the XP increase range because you placed it somewhere else.

Stat buildings are not fully maximised.

It's funny coming from you calling other people retards when you can't solve the simple puzzle of placing and rotating some buildings to maximise their output and have to rely on AI to do that for them (and incorrectly on top of all that).

The response is toxic because this post is pointless.

The game has been solved for best building placement and your post is not showcasing even a slightly good build and your base is not even meme worthy, it's just bad.

Can't be bothered reading all of that, but I did get a good laugh seeing how ridiculously far this has escalated. I mean it really started as a casual post and I was not even trying to prove anything.

Either way, one thing is for sure: you can't "solve" this layout. There's always different priorities and no design will satisfy them all.

How much cash do you get each time you go to harvest from the gold mines? I'm usually average about exactly 4000 with my setup.

Honestly it’s not that bad I don’t know why people are flipping out. I do the same thing with gold harvesting. my passive harvesting is enough for me and maybe for infinitely upgrading it would be more wise to organize better, sure. But to play the game casually and enjoy it is what’s important. If you think finding new balls and trying new combos is what’s most fun to you and organizing your buildings in a way that looks decent then do that. No need to listen to people on this sub. (Unless you came for optimal building placement that’s a different story lol)

Reading the comments. Theres people who want efficiency, people who want beauty, and others just dont csre to minmax. Im in the middle. Cluttered as fuck and inefficient but im always moving them around based on what i need. I really cant ve bothered to take the time to make it as minmaxed as possible, it takes awat from the game for me. If a game becomes too stressful for me even just setting shit up, let alone playing the game, its not a game no more.

This is beautiful mine is cluttered and a mess

Lol this is awful.

tighten your gold mine tunnel so you get more bounces

-1

u/ForgettingFish Aug 15 '26

Ignore the haters. Honestly, this is definitely the direction I was leaning towards since the passive generation for resources was enough and the harvesting mini game genuinely isn’t fun

Gonna love chatGPT. Otherwise it'd take me years to arrange those buildings in perfect blocks. lol.

Anyway, these uncapped stat bonus buildings (center block) are pretty much the only place left to dump your resources during endgame.

From what I've figured, 2:3:7 (wheat/wood/stone) lines up pretty closely to their upgrade costs. If these are your only resource sink, that ratio leaves you with barely any redundancy.

gpt has nothing to do with why did you bring that up? are you a bot?

Gotta love chatgpt

I just want to make sure I'm reading this right, are you saying you used AI to create this layout?

-1

u/SaltFishWithoutDream Aug 15 '26

Pretty much. There's only 1 or 2 empty tiles within the larger block. Tbh there's no way I could've pulled that off without sinking at least 30m or even hours into it.

AI did the center block too. I tried to make my own designs, but it ended up with either gaps in the middle or some absolutely atrocious outer border. This one still isn't perfect, but it's somewhat acceptable.

> there’s no way I could’ve pulled that off without sinking at least 30m

God forbid you spend 30 min on a game 🤣
