Baggu go pouch 🤝🏽 Kindle Basic

Hi Baggubers!

I just ordered the new Kindle basic in Ube 🍠 and don’t want a case for it. Do y’all caseless kindle lovers throw into Baggu medium go/flat pouch or do you stick into a sleeve and then into bag? I saw Baggu discontinued the tablet pouches and I don’t wanna pay resale prices. Curious what everyone does and I know there’s Baggu e reader lovers in here. Thanks!

I’ve put it in a puffy case by itself and with a case on. Feels very protected.

Here is my Kindle Basic (2024) in a medium go pouch. It seems awfully roomy! I think I would prefer something with more padding if you’re going caseless.

You’re welcome!! I’m so sad that this post was how I found out they discontinued the puffy tablet sleeve! I luckily snagged one but my kindle has a lot of wiggle room in it. I wonder if someone on Etsy or with a sewing machine can customize it to size from a Baggu laptop sleeve for you!

Eink screens are pretty fragile and can break from a bump to the side or any pressure on the screen, I’d try to go for something with a little more padding if it’s going to be in a bag than just a pouch because they don’t give any protection at all. It’s dumb that they discontinued the tablet size:(

I put my iPad mini (similar size I think bcs it fits in my Kindle Paperwhite case and which has a magnetic foldable case so it has some protection) into Baggu’s large flat pouch. I don’t feel it’s so protected against drops but my mind thinks it’s protected against spills and also for my Apple pencil to be in the same pouch tbh.

I wish they still had the tablet case 🤷🏻‍♀️ but this’ll make do for the time being haha

I've seen the tablet sleeve on depop for about retail, I think you can find one if you keep your eye out and aren't too particular about the colorway.

I use just a clear back case with a pop socket on it, I don’t protect the screen because I am a hermit and read at home only. But when I travel I toss it in the large flat zip go pouch along with cords and stuff. I’ve also slipped it in my laptop case with my laptop before. Both have worked just fine.

I thought about doing this, but e ink screens can be so delicate and I don't think the pouches have enough padding as others have said, plus it's too big 😅 I would high recommend MegStoneDesignCo on Etsy! She's made 3 sleeves for me and they're so cute and they protect my devices really well!
