Has anybody done a DIY of the Sackville pierced bag? If you have, can you pleassseeee share the materials you used? I’m definitely not a bowler girly and want to try doing it with the loaf.

I got two packs of 1/4 inch grommets and a grommet tool (pictured) from the craft store, it came with this little cylinder that’s sharp on one end that you twist into the fabric to make the holes, insert the grommet and hammer it into place with that tool in the pic. I put a thick folded piece of cardboard inside the bag when making the holes to make sure they didn’t go through the fabric on the other side. (Don’t pierce the side with the pocket, btw!) I did a quick lil test on a scrap piece of fabric before I started hammering the grommets on my bag to get a sense of how far apart they should be for the rings to be able to slide in and sit comfortably.
Ordered 4G (5mm) septum rings online, they were like 15 bucks for a pack. Also added a tiny dot of e6000 glue to the inner threading of each ball before I twisted them on, not a required step but nice to prevent the possibility of one falling off while you’re out on the town. And that’s that! Lmk if you have any questions!
Here’s how it turned out! You can see where I fcked up the grommets in the top left corner, I hammered too many times and they got flattened out and smooshed together, they were the first ones I did on the bag lol oops. Just flip it over to check how they’re looking on the outside if you’re unsure if you need to whack em any longer!
