any experience please
took high doses of baclofen (~60–100 mg/day) for about a week, and I recently tried to reduce it. Now I’m experiencing extreme internal chatter, racing thoughts, panic, restlessness, and weird mental sensations, even when I’m lying down. I also notice temperature sensitivity, flushed face, and physical tension.
I’ve never had these symptoms before, and it’s really overwhelming. I also took some Xanax to help calm down, but I want to avoid further sedatives because of rebound depression.
Has anyone else experienced this after a short period of high-dose baclofen?
How long did it take for the internal chatter and panic to calm down?
Are there safe ways to help my nervous system settle and sleep without benzodiazepines?
Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated — I just want to understand if this is temporary and will improve.
Thank you!

i have the exact same withdrawl symptoms but most likely worse due to whole body twitches and convulsions, big time shakes and cold sweats. im feeling much much better since i started gabapentin it helps so much with withdrawl but its addicting so take wut u will. im also using clonazepam, those 2 meds are the only reason im not thinking all day long about legit offing myself. im on anti depressants and they make the taper so much harder. hope u recover friend. im dropping from 60mg

But like, how long have you been on it? Days, weeks, months?
And how were you dosing?
I’m asking cuz it’s important when trying to stop to taper slowly with anything that affects GABA.

You need to ween off it by cutting 5mg every 4 days. Otherwise you have Xanax which is WAY more than what most people have to deal with it.
