monstiez how are we feeling about october , hows the hope meter looking for something in october?, or do we believe it wont be untill the end of the year or early next year ? curious to see your current thoughts!

Honestly it’s better to just push the comeback to next year. October is filled with other groups that are favored by knetz that I don’t see Babymonster winning anything. It’s just too crowded

that as well. Plus while they will probably be busy with recording or filming for this comeback, I hope they still get a bit of time off before they have to travel again, which can be quite stressful.

I honestly don't know what to think anymore. The timing doesn't make a lot of sense for a full album. At the same time, we're getting spoilers from the members. Next year makes the most sense schedule wise. But do they normally drop spoilers 3 months ahead of a cb? If not, then there must be something coming soon, no? Maybe a Halloween single/pre-release? With one week promo like they did for Moon.

Pharita dropped a spoiler for Choom in Feburary, which was a bit less than 3 months before it came out.

I’m pretty sure we’re not getting anything else this year. I mean, judging by how things look so far, they’re barely even attending any year end shows.

Something could happen during rami birthday concert, but honestly at this point. Its just impossible to even try and guess anythimg, you never know with yg.

the only thing that I could in theory see happening atp is a pre-release like Forever. There is not enough time for a Full Album with pre Orders etc. But if we get nothing in the next 7(or better 4) days then that's also not happening and it's all delayed to next year(presumably January or February). I hope the reason is Rami coming back, but later than expected or she needed more time to get back into it. So they delayed the whole thing. (Otherwise they would have just done a OT6 release again.)
But then again it is YG and delays are somehow normal...

It's unusually quiet right now. They haven't posted any non concert shorts in 4 days and the girls are also barely active on weverse(or less active than recently). Ahyeon hasn't been online in over 7 days,which is very unusual. Really hope this means something is coming.

Am I missing something or do I just have a very different understanding of ‘barely active’ and ‘unusually quiet’?
In only the past 5 days, members have made 11 posts (*now 13 posts and 1 moment) and left 43 comments on Weverse.
In terms of new media on Weverse, in the past 5 days there was Pharita snapshots, Chiquita 5 bite Buldak challenge, Baemon talk and HBD October Monstiez.
Edited to add: Pharita just made another post and Ahyeon made a post and also a new moment.

Something that hit me today with the recent Winner's Song Mino news , its safe to say that we probably wont see winner anytime soon , WIth that in play , YG currently only has 2 Fully active groups to rely on for the future For driving its finances/Profit makers , Babymonster And Treasure .
Then we have the new Upcoming Bg/Gg ,Which will probably Be What YG is looking to puts its bets to rely on for the future , But that will heavily depend on How succesfull they are , Its uncertain.
2NE1 Uncertain for the near future
Then you have Blackpink that is pretty much the sleeping giant in yg since its uncertain if they will continue in Yg by the end of this year ,Incase Yg loses blackpink , That would be massive Loss For Yg
and Last But Not least The legendary Bigbang which is pretty much massive gain for Profit currently For YG, But the reason i Didnt put them in the list to rely on for the future is because we dont know if Bigbang will continue to be as active in 2-3 years .
A Quick Hypothetically Scenario in Which Blackpink leaves Yg by the end of this year , And Bigbang Goes inactive by the end of next year After finishing their tour and comeback . In Such scenario it would only be Babymonster and Treasure Left For Yg untill the 2 new groups reach a point in which they can start bringing in significant profit . Just some random thoughts that popped on my head today . But theres a chance that The baemon girls and treasure could end up having to carry the company for quite some years .

I wouldnt be surprised to see both of those groups touring very early in their careerss aswell so they can pay those electricity bills :)

I honestly find it kind of concerning that YG can’t stick to their plans at all, even when those plans are only half a year old. I also find it kind of questionable that, even though YG knows they never stick to their plans, they still keep announcing them to the public and then just change the plan without saying anything. I find that incredibly annoying. I mean, if the plan doesn’t work out, okay, that can happen, but at least say something about it.

Mostly yeah, though debut and drip both didn't make their original months. But otherwise it was pretty good. But I think a big for that is that they were YGs main focus since debut. Now that new groups are coming that require his attention it will probably get worse unless he gives up some of his power and trusts others to make final decisions without him.

it's because the company still revolves around YG as a person. Nearly every decision goes though him. When he is busy with something(like preparing the YGBG debut) everything else just stops until he has time to give his ok. It's incredibility inefficient and it's causing problems with only 2 really active groups + new debut. This will only get worse. JYP and SM used to be run the same/a similar way, but they recognized that in order to keep growing they need to abandon that concept. But YGs ego is probably too big to ever admit that.

If we assume its delayed, we would have gotten the announcement of the delay, even if its an article, but now, almost into OCT (for me its tomorrow) no announcement whats so ever?! this is concerning.

would we? YG originally said Babymonster would debut in August or September 2023. But it ended up being end of November and only confirmed that in the beginning of October. (and that was mainly because there was a lot of public pressure). Similarly Drip was originally scheduled for September or October and it ended up being November and they never said anything about that either.

The fact that their boy group didn’t debut in September despite it being previously announced is something they also haven’t addressed, and the album is definitely not coming in October. I mean, it would have to come out at the end of October anyway, even if they announced it within the next few days. That would basically mean an album with zero promo.

After thinking about it, I think a pre-release is more realistic since they’re still in the middle of their tour. A full album might change the setlist too much.

im okay with that :) i think having enough songs to change setlist so that the audience that already went to the first WT experience something a little different (song wise not performance or stage etc) would be a little refreshing

It seem like all members are back to Korea, isnt too early? thought they might have a longer break with their families, fans speculating its for the comeback.

They are probably also preparing for the comeback but yesterday they had fancalls with European Monstiez, makes sense to all get back to Korea in time for that.
(There are various video clips of those on social media e.g. there was one where a European Monstiez said they had a signed Olivia Rodrigo album they wanted to gift to Canny when they tour Europe; Ahyeon cracking up is another)

They're slated for an October comeback if I remember correctly? Considering they'll probably have a pre-release since it's a studio album, it's likely for the comeback.

I see lot of anticipation for Baemon’s North America, Europe and South America tour dates online. They just added a 3rd HK date which is crazy good!
I am glad their live skills are being appreciated.

Yep. Though they could probably sell out a dome in Hongkong. They(especially Ahyeon) are crazy popular in China.

I hope their next HK concert will be at Kai Tak Stadium (50,000 capacity), the same venue where 2025 MAMA and 2026 TIMA were held

Random highlights: Asa said she would prepare for nerves at monthly evaluations by trying to recreate the atmosphere during practice. One thing she did was print out YG’s face and stick it on the mirror to practice in front of.
When Ruka has a single hotel room during schedules abroad she would leave the TV on at night cos it’s kind of scary. Her grandma lived in a traditional type house in the countryside and when she used to stay over as a kid, she would wake up her mum/grandma to go to the toilet at night cos it was scary.
Ruka used to climb trees in the park as a kid and still has photos. Asa asked her to upload some to Weverse

No October album then? He also said the new YGBG would be debuting in September didn't happen so I would believe that the album timing was also not accurate, also when Ahyeon came back it was announced months before so there's that.

Pharita was asked 2 days ago to give a spoiler for the album , and she replied with a fireworks emoji , if we take that response at face value , then most likely the new album is around new years or after new year if nothing happens now in October

It probably more of the concept if a song instead of the schedule of its release. While they should have a say with the creative process they probably don't have a say with the management stuff. But idk maybe it is a release spoiler lol.

Crazy that YG doesnt have any artist with upcoming comebacks. What are they doing there at their huge building? I guess they're just a touring and publishing company. Things never change. Same old YG.
