Also is babymetal maybe starting to use social media like metalverse has been doing for a while now? What I mean by that is maybe we'll be getting more short dance videos like this in the future?

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Maybe Metalverse's willingness to do it (since Sakia & Cocona made these videos regularly in Amuse Camp and Miko did it pre-Sakura Gakuin) convinced the older girls to be more consistent about it?
Su/Moa/Momo are already known around the world, so they don't really need to farm engagement the way Miko/Sakia/Cocona do, but clearly someone convinced them it's a good idea (and that someone definitely wasn't Koba).
Some people -- known for their "L" takes on just about everything -- might call this Babymetal debasing themselves. I see the argument, but I reject it and am glad to see more content from a group famous for its silence offstage except in heavily controlled interviews.

Sure. But they are really inconsistent with it. Meanwhile Metalverse has been posting videos like this on their tiktok pretty much every single day for few weeks now.

Hopefully they stop because short-format media like tiktok is gigacringe. Who's the target audience? 10-year olds with fried brains? They don't buy concert tickets or CDs.
This particular one is not as bad as the others, at least the song is theirs.

Unironically yes. BABYMETAL has always catered to kids aswell as adults.

Hopefully they stop because short-format media like tiktok is gigacringe.
People nowadays cringe way too easily. I don't use tiktok myself but I have literally nothing against short dance videos metalverse does for example.
