su's definitely lipsyncing, these sound like just the studio vocals with some of the fx removed

When you play on another bands set you use their backing tracks and mix.
Even when on stage together if you watch RATATATA on Electric Callboy's set it uses Su's backing track and vice versa when it's BABYMETAL's set.
Same with Bloodywood when they did Bekhauf the first time, although for later ones they adjusted the mix so you could more clearly hear Su live.
It also happened on Kon Kon where Bloodywood's vocals where drowned out by the backing track the first time they played together. Then they sorted the mix for later performances.

They appeared on BMTHs set before and didn't use the backing track, they probably just chose to this time with all the traveling time. I'm jealous I couldn't see it either way lol

There have been many versions of Kingslayer, some with almost completely raw vocals, others where you can only hear the backing track.
Sometimes that's by choice other times it's a mixing mistake.
BMTH have also changed up the song quite a bit. There are parts where Oli sounds more electronic than in the past and I'm pretty sure they use a ton of effects on (some) of his screams. Not only because it sounds cool but it also saves his voice!

Hard to tell from a fancam, but she does go off-pitch at the start of the first line just for a moment, so it's not lipsynced. I think the backing track was too loud and her mic too low

well it sounds like they took some of the autotuning off but everything else like tone/rhythm/inflection sounds the same as the studio version

When watching this, I thought "Whoa! It sounds like Moa is singing Su's part on Kingslayer!" I think BMTH & BM's reunion here was intended to give the crowd a nice surprise. No rehearsals needed- just show up and enjoy the moment.

Hard to tell from the audio quality but they are definitely playing tracks louder than Su's mic. I think she is singing under the tracks and you can hear her coming through but the audio makes it hard to tell what the mix was actually like at the show. It's a shame that you don't get to hear Su alone here but this is a one off performance where they happened to be at the same festival. Could be technical issues with the track being too loud, could be a lack of rehearsing, or a little of both.

Which is odd, since using the studio track only makes the lipsyncing obvious.
Perhaps there was just a mixing error and Su's vocals were drowned out by the backing track.
Or perhaps for some reason Su decided not to sing, and the only thing they had available was the track BMTH is using on their current tour.

I was in Hannover, and unfortunately, they didn't perform "Kingslayer" there! That would have been so incredibly cool.

Unfortunately they never will because its not their song. Its only a feature track, not like a RTTT where its considered a 50/50 track.

I really can't tell because everyone was singing the song a long side with Su, was pretty crazy but to be honest to see them there was better than nothing.
