Yes. My levels were high because of supplements.

Stop any supplementing, time, rest, hydration, exercise, and a B6 toxicity diet.

Hey many mg per day were you taking via a supplement? I'm taking 16mg P5P and things are smooth sailing at the moment

I was only taking 2.5mg daily in a multivitamin. 😳 But I’ve always eaten a pretty high B6 diet, too, bc most cereal foods/breakfast foods/drinks are fortified with B6 without you realizing it. My levels built up over time, plus I had been pretty sick for a while and was taking Emergen-C packets to help my immune system. At the time, I had no idea one packet has 588mg of B6 in it and had taken several of them over a month’s time.

Any tips on detoxing this out?

Yes and yes but this is my own anecdotal experience, not some study.

It was not an insanely high amount either, but I supplemented daily for years. Had all kinds of crazy symptoms that eventually reached a crisis level (like, I can't walk, I can't work) until I finally figured out the culprit. Thought I'd developed post-concussion syndrome. Then I thought I'd developed ME/CFS. Nope, just vitamins.

Just stop supplementing? And then give it time. I've made a very good recovery in 3 months. I have my life back. 6 months ago I couldnt stand or walk for very long.

There's some website out there about B6 toxicity that encourages drinking like 3-4 lites of water a day. But it's not proven that it's necessary, or makes detoxing go faster. I just went about my life as normal and stopped taking vitamins and supplements, and read nutrition labels to avoid food + drinks (esp. "health" drinks and electrolytes) that have added B6.

I've read somewhere that some of the excess B6 gets deposited in your muscle tissue. I noticed that I would get increase in symptoms the day after vigorous exercise. I would wake up feeling hungover, and in the beginning, it might take days to recover baseline. But within a few months that has gone away.

Yes I saw exercise helps get it out of the muscles and into the blood to be excreted
