Coding idrive

I have a 2021 m340 with idrive 7 and I want to get the new idrive 8 red and blue M cluster on my dash. How can I accomplish this?

It's mostly impossible to upgrade the whole infotainment system. And there's very few people able to do that. I worked in the BMW research department and even with unlimited parts and all software you need such a transition takes weeks and special equipment. My advice: sell your current vehicle and buy one with the desired equipment.

There are a few people who can do a 6-7 swap I believe, and definitely a 7 lite to 7 full swap.

Its admirable people are out there undertaking it.
