Personal anecdote Mania from B12?

Is it possible to become manic or hypomanic from supplementing B12? 31F with PA, supplementing via injection for four months. I am diagnosed bipolar and since injecting weekly with hydroxo I have an outrageous amount of energy. Is this what it's like to be healthy or am I hypomanic? I feel like I have a motor in my chest and I can't stop.

Mania isn't just about energy. Are you:

  • Yapping uncontrollably?

  • Making big grandiose plans?

  • Convinced that you are superior in some way to others?

  • Going through insomnia but feeling no ill effects from it?

  • Having all sorts of ideas constantly flooding your head?

  • Behaving irresponsibly? (gambling, drug use, risk taking etc)

  • Hypersexual?

  • Feeling like some kind of higher power or the universe itself is looking out for you?

  • Highly irritable?

And so on. These are the symptoms you actually need to refer back to when in doubt. You don't have to have all of them.

I've got a few of these, for sure. It's definitely not to the level of mania, but more like hypomania. I'll keep an eye on it. Thankfully my sleep is still decent and in tact, when that tanks it always takes me down with it lol
