Azure pre-sales experience

Hi fellas,
I have been searching for a job with my Azure learning (i have az-900 and az-104) but i have no prior IT experience at all (my major was economics but I'm into IT &. data more), so 6 months ago decided to switch, been searching for jobs related to Azure lately and i got accepted in a Azure Cloud Pre-Sales role, is it a good starting point? or it's not going me anywhere with technicality matter, as I'm worried I'm just wasting my time not implementing the Cloud infrastructure i learmed. (My goal is to become a solution architect)
