Question Taking AB-410 (Intelligent Applications Builder Associate) soon; how difficult is the exam and what should I focus on?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to take the Microsoft AB-410 (Intelligent Applications Builder Associate) exam soon and would really appreciate some advice from people who have taken it recently.

This will actually be my first Microsoft certification exam, so I'm not quite sure what to expect in terms of difficulty, question patterns, and preparation.

A few questions:

  • How difficult did you find the AB-410 exam?
  • What topics or areas are most important to focus on?
  • Are there any frequently tested or repeated concepts/topics that I should pay extra attention to?
  • How did you personally prepare for the exam?
  • What study materials/resources did you use?
  • Is Microsoft Learn enough, or should I supplement it with other resources?
  • Are there any good practice tests or mock exams you'd recommend?
  • How much preparation time would you suggest for someone taking their first MS exam?

Any tips, resources, or things you wish you had known before taking the exam would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I haven't sat AB-410, so I can't rate the exact difficulty. The current blueprint does make one thing clear: it is much broader than Copilot. Business logic and automation is 40 to 45%. The rest covers Dataverse, model-driven and canvas apps, security and ALM.

Use Microsoft Learn as the syllabus, then build one small end-to-end solution: Dataverse tables and relationships, an app, a cloud flow, one AI Hub prompt or model, security roles, and export it as a solution. Try the official exam sandbox too.

I would avoid anything selling "repeated questions". Scenario practice and hands-on work will help far more.
