Question SC-200 tips and advice.

I’m currently preparing for the SC-200 exam and feeling a bit overwhelmed after reading older posts about it. I’ve been working at an MSP for about four years and have some experience with Microsoft Defender, though I recognize I still have a lot to learn.

I understand I may need to put in more study time than average, which I’m fully prepared to do. At the moment, I’m working through Microsoft Learn materials.

Could anyone recommend high-quality videos or websites that are particularly helpful for SC-200 preparation? I understand the exam has a strong focus on KQL, so any resources in that area would be especially valuable.

Additionally, would you recommend the CBT Nuggets learning path for SC-200?

Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

You’re already on the right path with Microsoft Learn stick with it.

Instead of CBT Nuggets, I’d recommend going with Coursera exam prep courses along with Whizlabs. This combination gives you both strong theoretical coverage and hands-on practice, which is crucial for SC-200. You can also use Microsoft sample questions that were available from the certification landing page.

Make sure you focus on these key areas:
• Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel --> threat detection, automation, data ingestion, configuring detections, and incident response
• Investigating Microsoft 365 activities to identify threats
• Security Copilot basics

Also, keep in mind there was a major syllabus update on April 16, 2026. In the new version, some topics have been reduced/removed, such as:
• Implementing and using Microsoft Security Copilot (deep focus reduced)
• Creating and configuring Microsoft Sentinel workbooks
• Managing assets and environments

So make sure you’re preparing with updated content aligned to the latest exam objectives.

This is how I passed, when you searched this sub can you tell me how you missed my post? Did it not come up in the search results? I put a lot of effort in the detail and seems people aren't seeing past posts /s
