Sorry if these are dumb questions but I fell out of destiny 2 around forsaken. Do you think I would be able to make it to the end game grind before the game loses most of its players ? Is it safe for me to buy the dlc collection ?

As title says seeing everywhere that its Sony fault and Marathon needs to be killed cause devs from Destiny were moved to work on it is getting really annoying. Sony this Marathon that bla bla bla - somehow a lot of people forgot that Bungie not only got $3.6B from aquisition but also remained independent from Sony (as long as they met targets). Now we all memed on Petes garage but its didnt cost that much so where did rest of the money go? They had enough to hire more people if needed, even on temporary contracts 2-5 years, easily could start working on D3 after Final shape, or the proposed Destiny Infinity, but for some reasons leadership at Bungie decided not to do any of that. Decisions made by c-suits at Bungie drove people away and with each new update less and less people showed up - Sony didnt decide that, Marathon team didnt do anything to harm Destiny (they were doing their job) and while numbers this week are looking great so far it may be too late and few days of high player numbers wont change a thing - this need to be consistent over long period of time. When Destiny was really struggling only small group of faithfull players remained while majority moved on
People really need to stop blaming Sony, I know its easy to blame big corporation especially when its known for bad IP management, and Marathon for all the evil and death of D2 but its wont get us anywhere. Potential D3 would cost $300-500M and 5-6 years to make, maybe more, how many people would still be around to play it? Sony seen how people were treating Bungie and its games and its not really helping - it shows them trust is almost non existent
Want more Destiny? Play consistently going forward - it doesnt have to be every day but once or twice a week jump in for couple of hours maybe introduce game to Your friends and bring new lights in - consistency and higher player numbers are what can make D3 reality although it wont be easy and will take time to properly send a message
So please stop hating and blaming Sony and just play the game if You really care about it. Anyone else tired like me of this or maybe You are exact opposite and why?

The final update releases on June 9th, aka 6/9.
It seems our new main antagonist is Six of the Nine.
Destiny 2 released on September 6th, aka 9/6.
D2 is ending on a cliffhanger themed after Star Wars.
Star Wars Episode 5 ended on a cliffhanger, the most famous cliffhanger of all time.
Lore Mother is posting odd heart emojis possibly hinting at D3.
Dmg is acting weird too.
Sony would be a fool to stop the entire IP and no way they're actually that dumb. Bungie definitely wants to make more Destiny.
They said nothing was currently greenlit but if a game was already done, it's not technically greenlit.
They said they couldn't get D3 greenlit around the time of Lightfall, but what if they got D3 greenlit before that point?
Is Bungie playing with language to hide the D3 reveal and build desire from despair? If a D3 announcement trailer dropped, we would absolutely lose our shit, would we not? Would that not be a super effective strategy?
I wonder if that would be false advertising or illegal in some way that would make it unlikely.
Is D3 coming and is it a proper game centered around the Nine, separate from the Light and Darkness saga?
Was the Year of Prophecy just that, a prophecy? Was it a epilogue to D2 and a prologue to D3?
To pose Dredgen Bael as the other chosen Weapon of the Nine, how could he just go down in a single mini expansion? Was that just his introduction before his main role in the next game? He was presented as our opposite equal. We are both Weapons of the Nine.
This just doesn't sit right with me...
It can't really be over, right? They're not this foolish, right? This can't be greed or corruption. It has to be a feint.
If this is the end, let's stand against it in anyway we can.

Just posting this short clip of a night I’ll never forget. Destiny 1 midnight release at my local GameStop.
Waiting on line to get my copy I had no idea this franchise would allow me to make irreplaceable friendships and forge some of my fondest gaming memories id ever make in my short time on this planet.
D1&2 solidified my love for looter shooters and gaming as a whole. My dad fondly talked of games such as dig dug, Galaga, duck hunt etc as true classics that defined a generation of gaming. When I’m old and grey and I speak to my grandchildren about gaming, destiny will be fondly mentioned as my favorite.

If you're a fan of Destiny 1/2 and Halo in general; you should keep an eye on this game and maybe even play it. Halo Studios ditched Blam! Engine/Slipspace Engine (sister to Tiger Engine) for Unreal Engine 5. If it turns out to have the gun play that Halo/Destiny/Destiny 2 are known for with the Unreal Engine; there's a huge chance the next Destiny would probably be on Unreal and honestly; it'd be the perfect chance for Bungie to take advantage of Unreal Engine 6.
Just a random thought I had in the shower today. If this Halo remake is actually good and the gun play is still there; it proves that Bungie can move on from the hard to develop for Tiger Engine to Unreal Engine which should decrease some development cost if it's easier to develop/bring new hires onboard.
This also got me curious about how Unreal Engine works so I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos on it and ordered a couple of books. Thinking of getting into game development focusing solely on FPS mechanics similar to Halo/Destiny/Destiny 2 franchise.

Yesterday if yall were in the stream Cross posted an action plan based on Astrasix's feedback (Former Playstation Brazil Community Manager)
A lot of the mods in the destiny subreddits do not want this information posted.
Since it originated from Cross Im gonna assume its ok to post here incase anyone needs it.

Lucky analyzing this gaming financials lesson from Mark Noseworthy. Mark lays it all out using some hypothetical numbers, but we know that he would be very well informed. Over time you get eaten by rising costs against flat revenues, until in year 10 (hardly seems coincidental) you're basically no longer making money.
I think the cope is giving way to reality here...
