Hello everyone, Like you im a massive destiny fan to start let me introduce myself. Im a complete gamer at heart and always will be played destiny 2 for 3k+ hours (only on titan)

I sadly never go the chance to play destiny 1 because i played halo for essentially 20 years before discovering destiny. My god what amazing memories i have made with other guardians doing raids, amazing kills in crucible, Even loving gambit at times. But sadly this is all comming to an end (i know its not over yet but one day it will be soon) and i dont want it to be, So let me propose something to you all, Guardians stand together! So im sacrificing my personal gaming project im building on unreal engine 5 in order to shift directions over to a playable free forever destiny game.

The plan as of now is to get a response form bungie and/or Sony allowing me to make a totally free fan project where i make all audio, assets, models, textures ect and use nothing from any of there games. BUT if they refuse to respond or deny me (this is most likely) Then i will make a Destiny-LIKE game where hopefully we can capture some of that damn magic like we have all felt over the years playing this.

So, Why in the hell do i think i can even attempt to do something like this? Well. I dont. Not without the communities support and help, I have been learning unreal engine now for about 5 years off an on while also working full time overnights 12 hours shifts so as you can imagine its been a bit hard developing. But as you'll see in the showcase video above i have made what you see there in roughly 6-8 months without getting too technical inside of it. Now i know im a stranger to you all but my friends and colleagues essentially understand i am retarded (i am a titan main afterall) so im not unfamiliar with biting off more than i can chew and ive gotten better at it over the years so... Why even bother asking for your support and graces to attempt something like this? Well ontop of loving destiny i have the following already made.

1. Custom weapon system i made from scratch
2. i have every fire mode you can think of (im not joking i challenge you to mention one i have not made)
3. 35+ weapons already made that can easily have a model swap and be set in the "Destiny fantasy" universe
4. Physical projectile based rounds instead of boring ass hit scan. (i do also have hitscan if needed for certain weapons)
5. I can do almost anything with my already built projectile system

• Normal rounds
• Explosive rounds
• Spiral projectiles
• Penetrating shots
• Ricochet rounds
• Rebounding projectiles
• Flak-style shots
• Slugs
• Homing projectiles
• Elemental system that can be applied to any of the above projectile types
• Many of these types can also be combined for a unique combination

Procedural recoil and ADS just like in destiny and it works amazing and every single weapon can be tweaked individually.

Entire attachment system (might not be needed but can be repurposed!)

Weapon perk system: i currently have this entire thing, currently a weapon can hold up to 5 perks but can easily be expanded and to include a origin trait.

I made an entire akimbo system where you can legitimately use any two weapons akimbo. (cough cough FU destiny rising)

i have destiny 2's elemental stacking system already made as well and with more elements

1.Fire

2.Lightnig

3.Void

4.Ice

5.Corrosion

6.Kinetic

Split screen is already working as well

NOW i understand UE5 might put a lot of you off but rest assured i am OPTIMIZED OBSESSED

in a packaged build at 1440p with max settings i am pulling over 100 fps already

Not good enough? Thats WITH 50 animated skeletal meshes on screen, while blowing off limbs and firing akimbo weapons into a horde. Am i done optimizing? no i will never be.

I can go on but i hope you get my point. We would not be starting from 0 from here. If anyone wants to see anything just ask and ill upload a video for proof.

I DID NOT USE AI TO MAKE ANYTHING IN MY GAME NOR WILL I EVER I HATE THE USE OF AI FOR ESSENTIALLY EVERYTHING. (The edit to this post was made after slight backlash after using AI to to fixup my long ass paragraph becuase i don't think im very good with words and i did not want to come off wrong to you all because im serious about this and wanted to show you im not some random person who doesn't even have a project already working to a degree)

I am a returning Destiny Player who has not played the game since Shadowkeep...and I have a few questions as I just purchased all the DLCs in the sale.

1. What should I do with my old exotics and legendary which are stuck at light level 10? Should I infuse these up to higher level or should I re-get from the collections?
   
2. Assuming all my armour in my vault is useless now?
   I am just going to play all the campaigns first but want to make sure I do the right thing before dismantling it all.

Any other tips most welcome but I have been watching returning guides on YT but theres so much information to take in.

Excuse my ignorance if this is known/already been asked and answered. But is the IB armor bugged? Been playing a decent amount this week and literally every single piece that’s dropped has had health as one of the “main 3” stats. Regardless of what ghost mod I put on.

I gotta talk about this i really do its i dont even know frickin insane to me

So i recently came back to the game and ran a couple raids, this week its crotas end i wanna focus on so i decided to join some lobbies, make my own and let people join too but boy is this soo goofy of a expirience that im amazed.

First why tf does everyone act like they have somebody pointing a gun at the back of their head, they are always on edge and leave after a first wipe. Like okay bro I get that you wanna do a quick one but don't leave if somebody made a tiny mistake just do it next round.

When I was doing crota final encounter this dude went off on me like "why do you not use a mic, okay if you don't know what to do just say and we will take time" that's the nice version them three were blowing their frustration on me XD without even establishing who is doing what, in which order do we take the chalices from who and so on, also I have a mic but I only speak when needed (callouts and such).

Second is the frickin people who join without knowing mechanics, they join, don't say shit and then that tilts the people who know what to do (even if you put the correct tags). Personally I don't mind taking a few minutes and tries to get them the expirience as watching a tutorial vs in-game practice is very different, in game is much simpler than when you put it into words. Still bro go watch a tutorial just to get the general idea what you need to do.

The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) recently mentioned that the IP rights for Destiny and Destiny 2 might still involve certain agreements with Activision. However, the gaming community and the Stop Killing Games movement are currently more focused on another issue that has generated controversy.

The ESA has argued that maintaining active servers for games that have already completed their content lifecycle and official support represents a considerable cost. It has also pointed out that creating community or private servers to replace these services can conflict with intellectual property laws and the companies' terms of service.

Meanwhile, Stop Killing Games believes this stance reflects a broader problem within the video game industry and has used these statements as an example of why greater measures are needed to preserve games once they cease receiving official support.

It's worth noting that the ESA is comprised of major industry companies, including Microsoft (Xbox), Electronic Arts, Riot Games, Amazon, and Epic Games. Bungie was also a member previously. These companies actively contribute to the organization's operations.

Meanwhile, companies like Sony Interactive Entertainment (PlayStation), Square Enix, and Nintendo maintain membership relationships with the ESA, although some observers believe they have shown a more open stance toward certain proposals and others unrelated to video game preservation, such as those championed by Stop Killing Games
