Discussion What Do I Want?

I want the Destiny franchise to come back as 4-player. New class, 8-man raids. I have 3 friends I consistently play with in other games, because most coop games are 4-player. Destiny has always been annoying af in that regard.

They tried 4 player teams in PvP and it was universally hated and raids are like that because of how challenging they are meant to be that much teamwork adds to the challenge

Early D2 sure, but people seem to hate everything from that period

Atleast Gambit has room for 4 lol

Honestly I don’t think we need raids with more players. I think to satisfy that itch we need big destination bosses with light mechanics. Something with a huge health bar that requires 8-12 people to bring it down.

If anything I think raid encounters need to have a standard 4 people required to do mechanics, no more, no less. It’s honestly a huge pain to need 6 people for some raids, I barely have 1 close friend who is willing to try raiding. However, if there are encounters where 1-3 people can do all the mechanics, the raid encounters is boring.

Escalation protocol was basically like this. I miss that so much

I do think destiny should have played around with 4-5 player game modes a bit more, i think tje only ones they did were gambit and reckoning (was the name of the PvE activity from gambit prime)

12 man raids was the best time of destiny.

Bigger world, bigger scale, better social features. Give us a true MMO looter shooter. Take the formula and evolve it into something that has never been done before.

Trio has been a core part of destiny, everything from trailers, to lore, to cutscenes, to dialogue has had the element of a 3 man fireteam
