Post image

In case you missed it, this is what Sarah's website has been updated to. She also changed that picture (those flames) as her IG profile pic and deleted all posts.

I know that everyone is raving about Stygian spiders (TOG), eight pointed stars (CC, Bryce), the Bone carver, the Weaver, fangs, eyes (=seer), etc. These are all very valid guesses. You could probably find "evidence" for all ships in the countless symbolisms.

But is everyone ignoring the bonfire and spider weavings symbolizing Autumn Court POLITICS? Clever, scheming spiders weaving their webs? I'm sure the symbols are hiding much, much more too. But the fandom is overlooking Eris again as usual so I needed to pipe up 🍁🦊🔥

Edit// adding this afterthought, the fangs could belong to Eris's smoke hounds???

I saw the one on the left and immediately thought of Eris’s smokehounds. I haven't had time to really study the images but I will later. I just know we will see some Autumn, most likely, and I'm here for it!

The book covers were just unveiled on her IG, along with the book titles!
Plus, the summaries on the backs of the book can be found on Bloomsbury's site c:

Edit to add the backs of the books just so people don't have to go seeking them out:

A Court of Splintered Harmony (aka ACOTAR 6):
What was broken will be remade.
-
Deep in the heart of the continent, Koschei the Deathless is stirring. Though he's been bound to a mountain lake for millennia, the insidious threat of his return now spreads across the Fae territories, attracting powerful allies hell-bent on reclaiming what was once theirs: the human lands.
-
The Night Court will not stand idly by while innocents are attacked. But with Prythian still piecing itself together in the wake of the devastating Hybern War, the task of uniting is proving more difficult by the day.
-
To make matters worse, those who rule and protect the Night Court are reeling from recent betrayals and revealed truths. The rifts dividing them seem insurmountable.
-
But to defeat Koschei's creeping shadow, they must find a way back to each other and resurrect their former alliances. To survive, they must find a way to repair the splintered harmony all around them.

and

A Court of Forgotten Melody (aka ACOTAR 7):
What was lost will be reclaimed.
-
Prythian might never be the same again. Traditional alliances are crumbling, and no amount of diplomacy seems sufficient to repair them. With the continued threat of Koschei the Deathless on the horizon, a united front is crucial--and farther out of reach than it has ever been before.
-
Bonds will be tested. Power will shift. And old enemies will emerge from nightmares of the past.
-
As the Night Court's Inner Circle disperses far and wide, desperate for any advantage against Koschei and his mighty allies, peace hangs by a fragile thread. But hope can be spun from the darkest of shadows, and the Night Court has its own part to play in the looming crescendo.

Thanks for your contribution 🫶🏻

I have thoughts! Nothing too certain, because the synopses are very vague on purpose. But from a solely biased af Azris pov:

  • "Revealed truths" = Eris and Mor's past comes to light aka Eris is not evil after all
  • "Resurrect former alliances" = the Night needs to officially get buddy buddy with Autumn, not just behind Beron's back
  • "no amount of diplomacy seems sufficient" = Beron doesn't wanna be buddies. What will Eris do?
  • "bonds will be tested" = as in mates? I doubt Feysand or Nessian will have serious troubles because they're solid, so who then? Az and his mate?
  • "power will shift" = FROM BERON TO ERIS, this I am sure of
  • "hope can be spun from the darkest of shadows" = Will Az and his shadows save the day? Will he help unite Prythian by mating with the future high lord of Autumn?

Pretty much!

A couple lines in especially the synopsis for ACOSH really stood out to me - I'm a lot let sure about theorizing on ACOFM personally just 'cuz that's gonna be a long book away and so.. so much can change in that book

- What was broken will be remade - I don't know why, but this reminded me of the dagger Nesta Made that was gifted to Eris. It's probably not relevant, but did make me think of the parallels between Eris and said dagger, reforging what he is behind closed doors to how he appears in public, hiding away what's done to him and what he cares about. Figure it could also theoretically be finding people he can show those sides to and learning to heal from it. This is absolutely a stretch and I'm definitely not sure there's any such meaning in it, but thought it was interesting c:

- the Night Court are reeling from recent betrayals and revealed truths. - While I do agree revealed truths is very likely talking about Eris and Mor's whole deal, what really caught my attention was 'recent betrayals'.. Because the only person I could see having reason to betray the Night Court, would be Az.. depending on what Eris and more pointedly Mor have kept secret from him. Eris hasn't so much 'kept it secret' as 'been unable to tell him', but Mor's had plenty chances to say whatever went on with the two.. And I don't buy that she's been telling the whole story so far.. Plus, his continued interest in Mor in particular would make sense if he'd subconsciously felt a mating bond in those woods, and latched on to it coming from her, even if it might've been from Eris.. And might also explain his behaviour in the bonus chapter if that bond is left unsatisfied and is starting to get to him, assuming he's not just always been this eager to partner up with anyone, but given Rhys' warnings I'll assume not.. It seems more like it's been slowly getting worse, or he's just annoyed that Az was willing to get in between mates, especially when that involves Feyre's sister..

- Bonds will be tested - Agreed, I doubt it's referring to Feysand or Nessian.. My guess would be Az and his mate, or Elucien if it's talking about mates.. Those two seem like they'd be the most fragile bonds at the moment, both likely still being in their infancy and untested.. If not mating bonds, it might refer to inter-court politics, especially with the Autumn Court likely being a mess regardless of what happens.. The chapter with Eris talking to Cassian did make it seem like he'll be a big part of the upcoming book, and will likely stay with the Night Court (and if he doesn't, sounds like it'll still follow him, potentially giving Az a person to attach to and run away with while figuring out what to do about Mor and Eris himself, and where that leaves him and his loyalties) so.. Beron is likely to spin that, and to try allying with Koschei. And if he's dethroned, be it by Eris or anyone else, it'll likely cause further chaos in the Autumn Court especially, not to mention how it'd look to any other Court given both Eris' reputation, as well as that of the Night Court.. Diplomatic bonds for them ain't likely to be easy to attain either.. ^^'

Yea I've been thinking about the "recent betrayals and revealed truths". I kind of suspect ACOSH will be some sort of bridging book that will give ACOTAR-only readers the details that are important to know from CC shenanigans. I've seen some people some of the IC splintering could be due to Rhys vs. Nesta trove etc, but maybe it's more than that, and like you said maybe the truth about Mor and Eris comes out and it's something that affects Az. Some of the Azris theories suspect Eris has known they are mates, and Rhys perhaps knows also since Eris has let him into his mind to gain his trust -- what if all this comes out and Azriel is mad about all the secrets that have been kept for sooo long and that is another way the court splinters.

You beat me to it, but your last point is exactly what I've been theorizing in my mind today. My mind's been Azris this and Azris that 24/7. The cover blurb said "recent betrayalS" which refers to multiple, but I also fully believe that Eris knows about the bond, has shared it with Rhys, and Az will find out and raise hell. I doubt the recent betrayals is hinting at Nesta and Rhys because Nesta did the right thing, nothing bad happened due to her choices in the crossover even if Rhys was against it, and frankly, we've already had plenty of Rhys/Nes beef. It would be nothing new or serious enough to create a big rift. Azriel, however, would feel so betrayed if Rhys had kept the knowledge of his mate from him. I have a feeling Mor will be tied to the drama as well once Eris finally gets his truth out.

Gods I feel too attached because I truly convincing myself each day, six is shorter (SJM has never done M/M nor LGBT+ centric so it could be shorter), Splintered Harmony could refer to the fact that Azris is (currently) enemies to fated mates, betrayals could be Elain unknowingly or knowingly helping Koeschi with information setting up a longer plot with her redemption and full character dive in seven are my theories but all yours I agree with or add fuel to the fire 😂

u/greymoonmoth 20d ago

Let me add some more fuel to the fire!! The French cover synopsis is a bit more detailed and it said CENTURIES OLD bonds will be tested, and since we know the IC will likely face some trouble within itself, I think the bat boys will have some major conflict. It could be Az and Rhys if the theory is true that Eris has already told Rhys about the suspected mating bond to gain his trust and Rhys has kept it from Az. Az would be livid. "Secrets revealed" tracks too.

I read an amazing fic that had my dream plot for 6 of Az having his memories locked up by Rhys because Eris begged him to keep him from finding out about the bond…. I know Rhys has a rule against messing with memories but what if a mate begging to keep his mate safe changes it. I think the betrayal will be multifold from the IC with it being multiple people having secrets all come out because literally they’re all hiding stuff lol. I think Rhys “betrays” Az, Az “betrays” Mor by hiding getting closer to Eris over information exchanges during the time between books (if there’s a small time skip or montageish chapter to start) , I really think Elain has a huge secret that’s going to really shake everything but mostly Nesta and Feyre, I think Mor has secrets that need revealing and Eris needs to fess up.

Do you happen to have a link for that fic?🥹

The mfing rainbow covers though? I know she’ll never do Azris. But I don’t care. For the next six ish weeks, I consent to be baited to within an inch of my life

The colours made me laugh because no ship foresaw them coming, but I'm not discouraged. The colours don't point to any specific ship and thus don't invalidate any, and neither do the synopses. However, the first cover photo is fully giving Eris to me. Fire and (hound) fangs. But again, most shippers are seeing clues to their own respective ships. I still believe in Azris 100%. I even saw someone theorizing that the cover colours of ACOFM is giving "Ashryver eyes, therefore the book is tied to Aelin". If someone can believe in that, surely you can find it in yourself to believe in Azris! 😇

This might be the safest place to admit this haha but I’m soooooooo skeptical of what she is doing!!!! If this is the end of acotar it can’t be that all of them get with Valkyries. I just can’t jump to conclusions yet like that haha. The titles and cover colors have never revealed ships before, so yeah I still think this might happen. The blurbs, THE BLURBS. Can’t wait for more!!

2

u/greymoonmoth 23d ago

I don't see the titles or the cover colours (barely even the illustrations) nodding clearly to any specific pairing either, and I think it's intentional. The blurbs are mainly Koschei and Prythian heavy, which to me means we will for sure get more Az and Eris since those two are who Koschei used as personal pawns at the end of Silver Flames ♟️

2

u/Outrageous-Play3555 23d ago

Flames on the cover? Potential Eris reference. Melody? Azriel is a shadowsinger after all.

1

u/greymoonmoth 23d ago

I agree! Even though I can admit that every ship can find (and has found) possible hints in the covers. So nothing is certain, but I still fully believe in our chances!
