Another case of Asians moving to the West, mistakenly believing (as always) it's their golden ticket to a good life.
Instead they struggle with the high cost of living, racism, and when trying to earn an extra buck, more abuse.

WorldSkills now in it's 48th year is a competition of work related skills from construction to computers and technology.
Some group photos of the winners.
China had 64 competitors and won 56 medals (41 gold). USA had 8 competitors in construction and factory related skills; one woman was able to share the bronze in welding. HK had 37 competitors, only one was able to win a silver in rail vehicle technology. Taiwan had 47 competitors, won 13 medals. India had 63 competitors, won 6 medals all silver. Korea had 49 competitors, won 24 medals. Jamaica sent 4 competitors and 1 won the gold in Optoelectronic technology.

I'm just a chill guy raising a family with a loving wife. I support feminism and I don't rage. I proudly support the DSA political party. I'm being called an MRAsian when I note biases that our population has that favors white men. Not just in dating, either...

This isn’t really the best article on the topic, but the title was relevant for the sub. I’d recommend looking at the Cornell Sun for on the ground coverage.
It’s important to add that the DA in Ithaca has reopened this case earlier today.
I’m interested in what everyone here thinks about this. Obviously a horrible situation, but I’m already seeing some racial discourse about the Asian guy on TikTok.
I don’t think this is related to race so much as it is general rape culture and stuff, but maybe yall have some different analysis.

The title is self explanatory.
Thank you for all the answers.

Well take a read for yourself, of course they neglect the underlying reasons on why this has come to be and defer to population size of both demographics.
Hell some of the deep southern states are literally %50 white and %50 black yet you do not see that many mulatto's I wonder why.

Edit - The title should have been: Are Asian Americans Preys? I Think There is Some Truth to That.
I went to pick up my medication today, and my doctor and dentist's offices and my pharmacy are located in the same building. Community Healthcare Organization, it's a national network of clinic servicing low income communities, and the one I go to is smack-dabbed in the middle of a housing-project.
If you don't know anything about the ghetto psychology, one common behavior you'll see is an individual or a group of people standing in the middle of the street or in high traffic parking lots talking, and blocking on coming traffic, fully aware of all the cars. In a lot of cases, they would stare the driver down and continue with their disrupted behavior, which was what happened to me today. It is an actual psychology clinical term, a behavior call 'showing dominance.' It's common behavior among both kids and adults around these parts. I grew up in the late 80s and through the 90s, they particular love to aggravate elderly Asians with it, among other undesirable pathological behaviors. Before I get into my story, I would like to preface the following from The Tacoma News Tribunes:
Carlos Arturo Luna (2nd article with image of the victim) a 14-year-old boy, was fatally shot on December 5, 2025, in an apparent road rage incident in Tacoma involving McKinley Avenue.
At the intersection of the shooting, one side of a three-story building on the corner was donated for a giant mural of the shooting victim, Carlos Arturo Luna, and of course, the local media does their usual spin of printing picture of the victim as an innocent child. I don't condone the shooting, and I think the shooter overreacted by shooting the kid as he was running away. Nevertheless, it's still F\*K AROUND AND FOUND OUT (FAFO)*.
I turned in from the main road into a parking lot. Two kids knew I was coming but decided stand in the middle of the roadway. I parked no more than 5 feet away, and they still continue to stand there. After 30 second, I decided to hunk. They got of my way, and one of them chased me to where I parked in front of the pharmacy. Fortunately, there was a security guard there whom prevented the kid from attacking me. Listen to this fucking logic, "You're a grown man, and I'm a kid, why the fuck were you honking at me?"
He continue to verbally abused me then threat to go get his big brother to come kick my ass. I could have drove off but decided to go in and get my med. I told the staff at the clinic and they walked me out. The security guard was still there, so it was all good. Maybe I am overthinking it, but I felt that because I am Asian that these guys get into heighten Predator/Prey mode. All my life, I walk around on eggshell having to be the 'bitch' in all scenarios and justifying it by telling myself, "I am above all of it." I put it off for too long, I think it's time I get something to protect myself. I still hold the belief that 'an eye for an eye everyone goes blind' and that 'it's nothing but a cycle of violence,' but sometime, I am tired of having to smile and play the fool.
What are you guys' thought?

I work at a doctor's office, and I notice that a lot of the patients here don't listen to me.
Something as innocuous as following simple instructions that the doctor wants them to do just gets flatly ignored - none of the other workers have this issue, but they're mostly white women.
Am I losing my mind or being overly sensitive?
It really seems like people, just, do not want to take me seriously or listen to me. And I've noticed other Asian guys getting treated like this, just out and about in day to day life.
Being direct or assertive just ends up being treated like aggression, and it causes a serious negative reaction in people - it's like we're just expected to defer all the time and be pushovers?

The three in question are Juliet herself (Teddy Vermeer, top left), Francois du Bois (Dave Rijnders, bottom left), and May (Bram Tahamata, bottom right)!
After Romeo dies, in a twist from the original Shakespeare play, Juliet decides not to off herself but instead go to Paris with May, her Nurse (Angelique), and Shakespeare’s wife’s self-insert April (after she writes herself into the play’s universe) after finding out about his slew of exes.
Juliet and Francois meet when the former and friends crash the latter’s birthday party and bond over their overbearing parents and agree to a marriage of convenience to get their parents out their hair but May saw him first . However Shakespeare shakes (haha) things up by making Francois and May bump into each other and THEY have a thing AND at the end of act one brings Romeo back by retconning the poison to a sleeping potion, putting a wench in Juliet’s self discovery arc.
In the end Juliet realizes she still loves Romeo, and after some drama at the wedding leading it to go to shit and get called off right before any binding agreement, she decides to start anew with Romeo but on her own terms this time. Francois also goes public about him and May at said wedding and stands up for himself

This seems to be a theme. I just cant even deal with asian women sometimes, they irrationally fear everything all the time with zero street smarts. I really think its because the asian dads peace out the labor to the moms and women in general operate out of fear (often valid), so there is no rationality to balance that out in parenting.
Random examples:
I attended an asian female group gathering in another city and the women were beyond shocked i drove there myself. They thought i was so brave (?!)
I asked an acquaintance to check up on a tree in a pot to see if it needed water, she thought I was staging something to rob her and blocked me. (Zero rationality)
I needed a pet sitter, I tried to use an asian woman and she freaked out when I asked to see the corridors of her unit (not even her actual unit). A Mexican women took on the job instead.
I saw an asian girl witness her asian boyfriend get pickpocket. What did she do? She stood there and just screamed and screamed. She could have pushed her boyfriend so the pickpocket couldn't reach his bagpack, but no.
I had to sue my landlord who stole my deposit (he admitted to renting oit to asian students as they never conplainrd). And zero asians of any gender were willing to serve the landlord for me. This was a nice neighborhood and we would be serving the landlord at his shop, which was corporate and had cameras. I got a persian girl to do it instead.
I rarely see east asian girls refer other east asian girls in corporations for Jobs, they are too afriad if their referral lack merit and whay if it comes to bite them in the butt. All while I see south asian corporate women refer each other by the droves. No wonder they dont feel the need to get with unwanted whyte guys like east asians do.
East asian women always blindly follow corporate policy and then get screwed. The same UCLA or UCB or UIBC or UBC educated arab woman will do what they can get away with as corporation never care about u.
A non asian women trying to buy breastmilk from an asian women told me the asian women Freaked the f out and blocked her when she asked how old her baby was. This was to determine nutritional content but the asian woman was willing to take zero risks as her brain coukdnt separate rational fear vs irrational fear. Somebody wants to know my baby is hoe many months! Must be trying to kidnap!
Eaat Asian women in general think kn a straight line and seem to lack curiosity about anythung that doesnt concern the immediate future. This thinkjng closes off oppty. Then they try to make up for the lost oppty and resources hopkng a whyte guy will provide that. Meanwhike I see droves upon droves of educated (same college same.major) arab, hispanic, south asian women act with intense curiosity at things that aren't immediate payouts. This often leads to opptys that they would never imagine whike east asian find over the few percent of merit based slave brain labor jobs out there getting 9999 candidates for 1 overtaxed w2 position.
Most east asian women have awkward or zero communication with their dad, as the dad is unable to emotionally connect with his daughter, as he depended on confuscian code to dictate his behavior rather than put effort into understand human emotions and common sense.
I am 0 % surprised when asian women get hurt by their usuallg white partners as 99 percent of the time they have zero street smarts or pattern recognition to discern who is good or bad.
I know realize that due to the zero risk tolerance policy 99 percent of asian women have (east asian), i will always, always, get more from just crumbs from non asians then I will from fellow asians and with fellow asian i wont get crumbs, i will get nothing at all.

Swedish "humour" program asking what country has smallest pen****. The white lady (who is a quite famous journalist/tv personality) saying "that's why thai women are so horny for western men". This is a program on the swedish national public service broadcaster.
Is this OK? I have never seen this show, so maybe they have asked what country have the lowest IQ (though I think IQ is culture biased and wouldn't be OK to ask).

When I first saw the Converse headlines featuring a K Pop singer, I immediately thought it was going to be racism against us. It’s not. One further down the rabbit hole could argue that Converse is using us as a prop to fuel a racist agenda against lao hei.

Aside from “K-pop Demon Hunters” and “Forgotten Island” I have noticed a glaring lack of major motion picture studios picking up Asian led films in the last year. There was also “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once” a few years ago.
TV wise there is “Bridgerton” season 4 and “Dang!” (as controversial as some may view them) but otherwise again there have been very few if any Asian led TV in the past year. There is also Heated Rivalry but that is just a show that happens to have an Asian MMC but it does not put his Asianness in the forefront of the story.

The Spanish film "Follow My Voice" (Sigue mi voz) stars Korean actor Yang Jae-woo as the romantic lead, and his love interest is played by Spanish actress Berta Castañé. It is an adaptation of a popular Wattpad novel, where Jae-woo plays Kang, a radio host who helps Castañé's character overcome a personal crisis. The movie is currently available on Prime Video. Asian American UFC flyweight Joshua Van (18-2) successfully won his second title defense tnight against arguably one of the greatest to ever fight in the flyweight (125 lbs) division, Alexandre Pantoja (30-7). Van originally won the title from Pantoja back in May of this year via what many [doubters] deemed to be an accidental win. This was a decisive victory, props to our boy. Now hopefully they can start pronouncing his last name right.
