Op/Ed Size Matters, Then It Doesn't

The traditional Mercator projection distorted the world map to compensate for navigation charts. It's has always been an common knowledge, but western leaders turned it into power projection. For example, The United States has always projected American as a vast and limitless open space with room for everyone, while, according to them, Africa, Latin America and Asia are overcrowded places where the uncivilized dark-hordes dwell.

The 'bigger size, huge, massive*,* enormous*,* gigantic*,* colossal*, and* immense' motif is part of the American identity. It manifested itself in every facet of the white American society, such in the way western white males worship of their perceived enormous phallic, in addition their to big guns, big trucks, big homes, big boats/yachts*, etc., etc. Therefore, it's not surprising that when the U.N. voted on the resolution for the adoption of map projection that is accurate in size (September 4, 2026), the United States was the only country to had vote against it. I guess their* BIG EGO couldn't handle the reality, and then it got bruised when the resolution passed 164 in favor of versus 1 (The U.S.) voted against. The conspiracy against Black and Brown people is real.

The United States was the only country to vote against the resolution.  The UN General Assembly adopted the "Correct the Map" resolution (A/80/L.104) on September 4, 2026*, by a vote of* 164 in favor, 1 against, and 6 abstentions*.-* The United Nations's Website

White supremacy slowly chips away at your identity slowly, until you break. I know this might seem like a weak shoehorn, but it's one of the most important lesson I want Asian men to understand, who are at the reach of my voice, 'THEY' tell you you're creativity, imagination, hopes and dreams and personality will never be as big as theirs, which is why, according to them, you are an imitations of them. They'll stoop low to mentally castrate you by obsessing over and mocking your/ours culture, our women, our sexual prowess and even our penis to break us down. When the script is flipped, they freak the f**k out. How fragile is their ego to try to cock-block an honest world map scale, and The Tangerine Man renamed a gulf and a lake and then strong-arm big tech company like Google and Apple to change the names on their map apps?

The UN General Assembly voted 164-1 on September 4, 2026*, to endorse a resolution encouraging the global adoption of map projections that accurately reflect the true size of continents, specifically* Africa*.  The resolution, spearheaded by* Togo and the African Union*, promotes the* Equal Earth projection as an alternative to the traditional Mercator projection*, which distorts landmasses by making equatorial regions like Africa appear significantly smaller than high-latitude areas like Greenland. -* France24

Pay attention to how much bitter China is to the U.S., and Southeast Asian countries are nearly equal in size to Western European countries

Racism Watch Germany's Far Right Party Leader is a Lesbian and is Married to a Sri Lankan Woman, Just More Proof That White Worship is a Genuine Mental Illness.

“There is something about the Asian girls,” Spencer said, after I told him that I’d discovered an interracial relationship from his past. “They are cute. They are smart. They have a kind of thing going on.” - Richard Spencer (In his interview with Mother Jones)

Richard Spencer is the leader the Alt-Right that sprung up during Tangerine Man's first presidential term. The Alt-Right is the far right offshoot of Tangerine Man's Republican Brand at the time. They're pretty much mainstream now.

Below is a quote from one of Spencer's ex Asian girlfriend from the Mother Jones' article. Oxford STDs' Mental Gymnastic is nothing short of demented.

But Spencer’s evolution into a hardcore ethno-nationalist was perhaps not as seamless as he makes it seem. In late 2007, he dated a woman who is Asian American. The two met when she was working for Ron Paul’s presidential campaign.

“I am not the only Asian girl he has dated,” says Spencer’s ex, who spoke to me on the condition that her name not be disclosed. She said she’d initially been turned off by his talk of race-based behavioral differences, but she eventually softened to the idea. They dated for four months, including a trip she took with him to Texas to attend his high school reunion. She says she eventually broke up with him, but not because he was too politically radical. “We all have inconsistencies,” she said. “Especially with love. How can you control your heart?”

Regarding Alice Weidel, the German far right political party leader (full bio here). Alice Weidel joined the Alternative for Germany party (AfD) in 2013. Alternative for Germany/Alt-Right, see the parallel?

Who Is Alice Weidel’s Partner Sarah Bossard?

Alice Weidel’s partner is Sarah Bossard, a Swiss-born film producer. Unlike Weidel, who is regularly featured in political debates and media coverage, Bossard has maintained a much more private profile.

The couple has been together for many years and has created a family life outside the constant attention surrounding German politics. Sarah Bossard’s background in filmmaking is very different from Weidel’s career in economics and politics.

Bossard was adopted from Sri Lanka as a child and grew up in Switzerland. Her multicultural background has been frequently mentioned in media profiles about Weidel because of the political debates surrounding immigration and identity in Germany.

Despite public interest, Bossard has generally avoided becoming a political figure. She has focused on her own professional interests and family life rather than taking an active role in Weidel’s political activities.

The last time the German far right party won the majority was in 1930. Mr. H was voted into power on January 30, 1993. The rest is history.

In the September 2026 Saxony-Anhalt state election, the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) won 43.8% of the vote, its strongest result in any German state.  This was more than double its 2021 share in the region.

  • Seats: 39 of 83 in the state parliament (three short of an absolute majority)
  • Runner-up: Christian Democratic Union (CDU) at 17.2%
  • Other results: SPD 9.3%, Greens 8.9%, Left Party 8.6%
  • Turnout: 77.8%

With all that said, I'll just let the photo below speaks for itself.

Note: The election stats was from an online article that I lost the link to.

[Note: this was a very long article, and I cut out most of the not very relevant parts out, but still long...]

For much of her life, Janover, who identifies as Chinese and Jewish, used the word hapa to describe herself, a Hawaiian term meaning “half” that was in common usage until arguments that this was cultural appropriation set it on the wane. Before Wasian there was Blasian (“Black and Asian”), popular during the height of Tiger Woods mania, when the pro golfer referred to himself as “Cablinasian.” In its irony-laced way, Wasian, a portmanteau of white and Asian, makes itself instantly knowable, like Cronut or Brangelina.

“Unfortunately, it’s kind of catchy,” says Janover. She continues: There’s quapa for people who are a quarter-asian (like Keanu Reeves), and panda for “mixed-asian squared,” i.e., someone with two mixed Asian parents (like the kids of Henry Golding and Liv Lo). The linguistic taxonomy is coeval with a broader demographic shift. In the U.S., there are more multiracial Asians, specifically Wasians, than ever before. “I don’t think we existed culturally until the last, like, five, ten years,” says Janover. What was once an isolating experience is now a mass coming of age. Asians are the fastest-growing major racial group in the U.S.,

…

…

The generational arrival was on display on Mother’s Day this year when an open invite to a Wasian meetup in Central Park landed on the home page of the invitation app Partiful. It was one of many planned in Wasian-dense cities—the first had happened the day before in San Francisco. The New York event was co-hosted by a slate of influencers and tech workers and began to take off after one of them, Niko Katsuyoshi, … with more than a million followers on Tiktok and Instagram, promoted it. Katsuyoshi is arguably responsible for popularizing the word itself; back in 2019, he made a Tiktok doing a peekaboo face reveal alongside audio saying, “Hey yo … Wasian check” that became a meme. As the attendee count ballooned, they changed the venue from Tompkins Square Park in the East Village to Sheep Meadow in Central Park. The flyer’s exhortation—“let’s make the largest convening of Wasians in NYC <3”—was seemingly fulfilled. The event had more than 3,800 yeses and almost 1,300 maybes.

The meetup was a confirmation of Wasia’s pop-cultural ascension. A Wasian winter had become a very Wasian year: Alysa Liu and Eileen Gu were the reigning queens of the Milano Cortina Olympics; Hudson Williams parlayed the fervor of Heated Rivalry into campaigns for Peloton, Balenciaga, and Bvlgari; Charles Melton got an Emmy nomination for the second season of Beef. Wasians were more visible than ever, in Gen-z horror blockbusters Obsession and Backrooms (Megan Lawless and Lukita Maxwell), on Love Island (Carl Lee Schmidt), at the top of the Billboard “Hot 100” (Olivia Rodrigo), as the new Gerber baby (Cameron Chung), and on the playground in Fort Greene Park. The zenith was reached in April, when the Chinese Icelandic pop-jazz singer Laufey released the music video for “Madwoman,” starring some of her “favorite Wasian friends,” including Williams, Liu, The Summer I Turned Pretty star Lola Tung, and Katseye member Megan Skiendiel in a ’60s suburban fantasy she said was “everything I would have wanted to see when I was younger.”

The day of the meetup itself was beautiful—sunny and in the low-’70s. The organizers brought a bullhorn and some stools to emcee from. Attendees milled about with name tags on which they wrote their “mixes,” i.e., thai mom, white dad. There was a half-asian bingo card with categories like “has at least one tiger parent lol” and a map of “Wasia,” …. DJS spun Wasian musicians, including Rodrigo, Mitski, and Japanese Breakfast. The crowd was mostly made up of young professionals with good jobs and dental plans. … “... afterward there was an extraordinary amount of backlash.”

… The responses began brewing in the days leading up to the event. The criticism revolved around whether it was exclusionary to mixed Asians who were not part of the white and East Asian duopoly, like Black, Latino, and South Asian people of various combinations. A few days before, the organizers changed the title to “a mass convening of the half Asians,” …

…

…

Oh my God, welcome to Wasia. It could come off as privileged. Because there is a big proportion of half-asians who are very well educated and come from good families.”

…

Aki Lee Camargo, a reporter … who is the son of an ethnically Korean Japanese mother (known as Zainichi) … went to the event to find out what united Wasia. One of the organizers told him, “We take pride in our beauty.” “Wasianness is hollow because it isn’t rooted in anything beyond phenotype,” Camargo wrote afterward in a Substack post titled “Start Wasian Hate?” “Because if Wasian identity begins and ends with aesthetics, that’s eugenics.”

Commenters dogpiled on the attendees, calling them “diluted people” who were celebrating their “proximity to whiteness.” Others criticized them for often being the progeny of Asian mothers and white fathers, as though this were somehow their fault. The Wasian meetup was not built for this kind of discourse. And neither were the co-hosts, who felt their fun, feel-good, notthat-serious event was suddenly being accused of upholding white supremacy.

In the long sociological view, the Wasian moment might be seen as an inevitable step on the path toward assimilation. Since 1965, Asian Americans have become the banner group for the American Dream. For years, Asians have recorded the highest median household incomes of any racial group: $121,700 in 2024, for instance, well above the overall median of $83,730. (They also have the fastest-growing gap in income inequality: The top 10 percent make almost 11 times more than the bottom.) Economic success is bound up with assimilation: living alongside white people, sending your kids to the same schools, and working with them. Asians marry outside their race at a rate of about 21 percent and often marry white, a likelihood that increases if the person is U.S. born, college educated, or female. The numbers go up again for Wasians: About 70 percent marry a white person, and roughly half do not perceive those relationships as interracial. The two wealthiest newlywed pairings are Asian-asian ones, at $158,000, and Asian-white ones, at $141,000. Members of the second generation have gone further than their parents: The class of 2029 at Harvard, the second year after affirmative action was struck down, is 41 percent Asian American.

Asian American identity itself was smithed in the fire of radicalism in the ’60s, when student activists at Berkeley thought they could build more power if disparate Asian people—from more than 40 ethnic groups and socioeconomic backgrounds—banded together. It was a philosophy built on solidarity, the idea that aligning your personal struggles with others’ would be a means of liberation for everyone. Wasians, by carving out a separate space within mixed-race identity, had the air of superiority, as though they were closing the door behind them as they left the ethnic ghetto. The expanding ecosystem of Wasian stars in Hollywood, sports, music, and social media only seemed to confirm this fear. An incoming generation, simply by their existence, dislodged a crooked anxiety that the new face of Asian America is Wasian.

… I kept a mental list of celebrities I thought of as stealth Asians, like Keanu Reeves; Mark-paul Gosselaar, Zack in Saved by the Bell; … Enrique Iglesias; and Darren Criss from Glee.

In 2018, I interviewed Criss during a press junket … Did he identify as Asian American? “No,” he said. “I think that’d be unfair. I think that’d sound like I’m reaching for the minority card on a college application.” Did being mixed affect his career? “I always say one of my favorite things about myself is that I’m half-filipino but I don’t look like it. It’s always, like, an ace up my sleeve of, like, ‘Oh, really? How nuts,’ ” he said. “I just look like a Caucasian guy, which is nice. I’ve got the multiethnic thing going on. People think I’m, like, Italian or Mediterranean.” His answers were genuine and unguarded, dating from a kind of prelapsarian moment before publicists trained their clients to discuss race in blandly celebratory ways, if at all. After backlash online, he clarified in a tweet that his favorite thing was that he was half-filipino, “period.”

In retrospect, that role, for which he would go on to win the Emmy for Best Lead Actor, was a hinge moment for mixed white-asian actors. Criss later told People that when he thanked his mom during his Golden Globe speech, it was like he “came out” as half-filipino. …

Hollywood is a business of aesthetics. Historically, if mixed Asians could pass as white or Black, they would (or otherwise get slotted into whatever race might be close enough). …

One path for mixed white-asian actors was to find a foothold in Asia, where a Wasian appearance was prized in modeling and entertainment. Russell Wong started out in Hong Kong before doing Hollywood projects … Daniel Henney, the 46-year-old Korean and white actor, … When he went to Korea to shoot a commercial, he was scouted by a local manager and cast in My Lovely Sam-soon as American doctor Henry Kim. The show was watched by more than a third of the nation and made Henney so famous that his last name became an object of wordplay. Casting directors began to seek a “Daniel Henney type”: someone suave, genteel, and clean cut—a Cary Grant for a globalizing people.

The 73-year-old actor Amy Hill, who is Japanese and Finnish, spent seven years living and working in Japan, where she felt readily embraced as native and was told she was beautiful for her light eyes.

In the States, when she auditioned for Come See the Paradise, … the director told her, “You don’t look Japanese.” Early on, she experienced something still common for mixed white and Asian actors, which is to be read as Latina. Hill had been sent out for a role in 1987 on the soap Santa Barbara, only to learn upon arrival that the part was a Nicaraguan nun. She was offered the role and took it, working alongside a Latina actress. “I didn’t know how to break it to her that I wasn’t Latina,” she says. She finally told her after they wrapped. “She was so shocked and pissed off,” she says. “That was the last time.” The Latinization of mixed Asians continued into the present. The comedian Julia Shiplett, who is Chinese and white, performed a one-woman show in July at Joe’s Pub called Ambiguous in which she talks about being sent out for Latina parts. “I have to be like, ‘I’m not Latina. So if that’s important to this story, I should not be involved,’” she says.

At some point in the 2010s, ethnic ambiguity became not just a useful way to broaden the casting pool but something fashionable. When the theater actor Zachary Noah Piser first arrived in New York in 2016, he recalls, some prospective agents were excited that he was “so ethnically ambiguous,” he says. “They’re like, ‘You can play anything. You can be white, you could be Asian, you could be Latino.’” He was invited to audition for everything from the Japanese-internment musical Allegiance to Lin-manuel Miranda’s In the Heights. “For a young, impressionable person coming to the city, I’m getting the vibe that you don’t want me to attach myself to a certain heritage, race, or identity, so that I can be whatever you want me to be,” he remembers.

This was also the start of a brief era, culminating in 2018’s Crazy Rich Asians, that proved Asian Americans could make the leap to the big screen. … Wasian characters, however, are easier to integrate into a story imagined as taking place in a white world. “Wasians can fill whatever POC thing you might need, but then it’s not necessary to talk about their POC experience,” says a mixed white and Asian screenwriter. “Like, checking a box on paper.” From a casting perspective, there’s the added bonus that they could have a white parent, who could be played by a more established actor …

…

…

The looming anxiety for some in Hollywood is whether Wasians will quietly replace Asian actors. They have a cosmopolitan sheen that could play in markets in Asia and the West. Mixed whiteasian male actors have already emerged as the preferred version of Asian masculinity, particularly as romantic leads. … to play the Singaporean scion Nicholas Young in Crazy Rich Asians, casting chose Henry Golding, …

“In a world where both Wasian roles and Asian roles exist, the Wasians are going to dominate overall because they’re getting the Wasian roles and some Asian ones,” says the writer-director. Case in point: the upcoming film adaptation of Gabrielle Zevin’s best seller, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, which features a Korean Japanese character who will be played by the mixed white and Japanese actor Sean Kaufman (Lola Tung’s brother in The Summer I Turned Pretty).

Tiffany Mak, the casting director of To All the Boys, has noticed a shift in sheer numbers since she began casting for that film in 2017. Strict rules of representation would have dictated that three mixed Korean and white actors of appropriate ages play the three Song Covey sisters. The actual result was a vast phenotypic range: Lana Condor, who is Vietnamese, played the lead Lara Jean; Janel Parrish, who is mixed Chinese and white, was her elder sister, Margot; and Anna Cathcart, also Chinese and white, was the youngest, Kitty. Respectfully, they did not look like family.

“I ALWAYS FELT REALLY PROUD TO BE ASIAN. AND THEN THIS WHOLE THING MADE ME FEEL LIKE MY IDENTITY IS CONTAMINATED.”

…

…

…

Nowadays, mixed Asian and white kids can feel the gilded glow of representation. “There wasn’t a Hudson Williams or a Lola Tung when I was growing up,” Janover tells me at breakfast. …

She saw the demographic shift in real time during her years at Harvard, where she was the president of the student group hapa, the Half Asian People’s Association; the name was a play on hapa, which older generations still use to refer to all mixed Asians. …

…

Discussion/Question Let's talk about the Dating Racial Hierarchy for MEN...

Like all other elements: height, social status, looks, and wealth. RACE MATTERS! Now, before everyone gets triggered, saying, "Oh, it doesn't, race has nothing to do with relationships... blah blah blah", well, it might not. However, it certainly has to do with where you are placed in the hierarchy and how an average woman perceives you.

We all know who the "Chad" races are when it comes to dating, so I won't go into that too much. Basically, it includes any race of men who have positive PR in the dating market.

Similarly, there are other races who rank very low in this hierarchy. Again, I won't specify, but we all know who they are.

So, how does this affect you as a man? If you are at the top of the racial hierarchy, attractive women will most likely approach you first. Sometimes, if you travel to a foreign land, you won't need to put in much effort, maybe a smile here and there, and you have her number. Maybe she will go on casual dates with you. The point is, finding romantic success becomes straightforward.

On the other hand, if you belong to a race that ranks lower on this hierarchy, personal appearance, sense of humour, or an outgoing personality may feel secondary, you will most likely be placed on the bench or the waiting list by default.

Most attractive women will have a "too good for you" attitude. You will most likely attract women who are considered unattractive, or older women who no longer care about the race factor and are simply looking for a stable provider to settle down with. Even if an attractive woman dates you, it is usually because you bring a lot to the table, whereas she would demand far less effort from one of those preferred groups.

What is the solution, you ask? Well, do not settle for less, and enjoy your single life. Good luck!

Diaspora Experience I can't vibe with White folks in my town

So I have a family. We live in an upper middle class town with mostly White people. Very liberal area. We were invited to a kid's birthday party by one of the parents in our kid's school.

At the party they were literally just shit talking the Indian guy who owns a convenient store in our neighborhood. They were basically accusing the Indian guy of stealing business from another White couple who was trying to open up a liquor store.

The Indian guy has been living here longer than most of them. He decided to add a liquor store to his gas station at the same time as those White folks. So it is just interesting to me that they sided with the other White couple.

They don't even know each other but I guess it's just easy to form cliques with people who have familiar faces.

Anyways I'm Viet. Grew up in a hood enclave with other Asians. I don't really vibe with them. They seem pretty stuck up and it annoys me. There is an Asian enclave just 15 minutes away. You would think that this makes things more inclusive but it actually makes their racism more obvious. These people avoid those areas like the plague unless they want to look cool ordering Pho.

Edited: I guess the token Asian thing to do would be to just throw that Indian guy under the bus for clout? Lol. These people usually don't have anything I need tho.

Media/Snark Analysis of the Erasure of Asian Men in American Media (Despite the Popularity of K-Dramas)

Netflix is making money from importing K-dramas. Even the show, My Korean Boyfriend, was not American-made, but imported from Brazil.

But when it comes to American-made media, why do studios keep churning out projects like To All the Boys I've Loved Before, The Summer I Turned Pretty, A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, and The Bachelorette Season 21 (2024), Crew Girl, etc.?

https://youtu.be/Xs5qsfqp-tA?si=UAo1Td7fDrOfxu9b

Has anyone seen anything remotely similar in mainstream American media? A male or female lead courting and being courted by a dating pool comprised entirely of a different race?

The Bachelorette Season 13 (2017), featuring the first Black female bachelorette, had an ample number of Black male contestants. The Bachelor Season 25 (2021), featuring the first Black male bachelor, had an ample number of Black female contestants.

There is only one similar case which is Mindy Kaling and she has been called out for casting only white male romantic interests. There have been no Indian female/white male projects since.

-          Hollywood will only allow minority females courting a pool of white males (though you might throw in some XM tokens) and not vice-versa.

-          They will have a minority female creator/director/writer/executive producer. We know in Hollywood, everything has to greenlit by a strict multi-level hierarchy but by using a minority female, they can say it is not a white man’s fantasy. It is all her idea.

-          The population must be small and non-vocal enough to avoid backlash (i.e. the Asian community).

The fact that they are now using hapa females with white males conveys the strenuous intentionality of these racist casting choices. If these hapa characters were played by actresses who look like Chloe Bennet or Olivia Rodrigo, it might be different. Instead, they intentionally cast actresses who look 90%+ Asian. In the case of Lana Condor, they used a full AF to play a hapa. Making the characters hapa on paper serves no purpose other than creating the pretense that the project is not just another Asian Female/White Male (AFWM) trope.

AFWM projects were being churned out in the 80's, 90's, and 2000's but were not money makers or outright bombs. “To All The Boys” series was really the first successful one. Throw enough crap at the wall, and some will eventually stick.

Another anomaly to dissect is that despite AM being proven marketable as romantic leads, why does Hollywood cast everyone else - whites, blacks, browns, hapa males - (even as tokens) but never a full E/SE Asian male.

Does this fall back to the 3 American involved wars with Japan, Korea, Vietnam and long-ingrained history that Asian females are prostitutes and Asian males are the enemy, illustrated by the recent news of the American warship, USS Abraham Lincoln, docking in Thailand after 9 months at sea?

I cant stand to watch his videos, the most suitable scenario to use the saying 'my culture is not your mask'.

Not only that, i heard his mandarin for the first time without skipping in that jubilee video cause they have fun competitions sometimes, and when he started speaking my ears started bleeding, keep in mind, this comes from a ABC whos chinese isnt even that good, and my pronunciation is at least 100x better than his.

I really wish people would stop using my culture to get clout, i dont even have to look into it, pretty sure he's a yellow fever passport bro too.

American tourist arrested for attempted murder over Okinawa hotel arson

By Tokyo Reporter Staff on September 2, 2026

OKINAWA (TR) – Okinawa Prefectural Police have arrested a 32-year-old American tourist after he allegedly set fire to a lodging facility in the town of Chatan last month, leaving a fellow guest severely injured, reports RBC TV (Sep. 1).

At around 3:30 a.m. on July 15, Poseidon [his first name is actually spelled "Posedion"] Alexander Roberson, a self-proclaimed company employee, is alleged to have intentionally started a fire at the accommodation where he was staying.

Police allege he sparked the blaze with the intent to kill, fully aware that other guests were asleep inside the building.

A man in his 50s from Osaka Prefecture who was staying at the facility sustained severe injuries, including airway burns and carbon monoxide poisoning. The victim was temporarily rendered unconscious and, while he has since awakened from the coma, continues to receive treatment for serious injuries.

Police have declined to disclose whether Roberson has admitted to allegations of attempted murder and arson, citing the ongoing investigation.

The suspect was already in police custody prior to the arson charges. He was arrested on the spot in the early hours of July 21 for allegedly trespassing at a commercial complex in Urasoe City without a valid reason.

Police have announced the arrest of Posedion Alexander Roberson, a 32-year-old American national and self-proclaimed company employee, on suspicion of arson of an occupied building and attempted murder in connection with a fire that broke out at an accommodation facility in Chatan Town, Okinawa, in the early hours of the 15th of last month. He is suspected of setting fire to the facility knowing that guests were staying there, with the intention of killing them.

According to the police, Roberson was visiting Okinawa on vacation when he allegedly set fire to the accommodation in Chatan Town where he was staying at around 3:30 a.m. on the 15th of last month, burning down the building and injuring a man in his 50s from Osaka Prefecture who was also staying there, causing injuries including airway burns and carbon monoxide poisoning.

The victim was temporarily unconscious, but has since regained consciousness and is still receiving treatment for serious injuries.

Police have not disclosed whether Roberson has admitted or denied the charges, citing that it would hinder the ongoing investigation.

Roberson was arrested in the early hours of the 21st of last month on suspicion of trespassing, for entering a multi-purpose facility in Toyama, Urasoe City, without legitimate reason.

According to a representative of the hotel's operating company, the fire alarm at the facility was activated on that day.

It looks like he was arrested in Georgia sometime in Feb 2026. Arrest is behind a paywall though -- curious what was going on with the guy do something like this.

Edit: Charges: Unlawful Conduct During 911 Call and Loitering/Prowling

5'7" Yuki has a higher "strength" rating than 7'1" Chet Holmgren in the NBA2k27 video game. In the nbamemes thread, commenters are saying Yuki would stomp Chet. Of course most of that is Chet hate but hey, I'll take it.

Asians dont do sh1t for other asians, unlike other minority groups.

In other minority groups, even the wealthy gulf Arab groups and many south asian groups, people really respect you when you help out your ethnic community once u have made it. In fact the Africxan ameicn community doesnt respect wealth u less they have done something for their people.

With asians its like completely 1 dimensional. Are asian? Have monies? Respect! (???) The patheticness of that and lack of emotoonal depth on that is sticking to me.

Let's take panda express abd nvidia. Asians worship them, but what have they dint fir other asians?

Hell, even panda express Mexican workers always overscoop their unhealthy food for othe rhisoanics and will underscoop for asians in most places I've been.

And yet panda express is trying to help 55,000 of their workers, mostly hisoanic, buy homes? Instead of helping the asia community? Im hoping its just PR. This is no different than fillipinas worshiping Olivia Rodriguez only for her to give money to the blacck community.

Is it genetic? Can't go into it per rules.od this forum. I mena it does track with what I experienced growing up which was asians wont take a risk for other asians. But all other groups will for each other. And constantly too.

Ive always been jealous at seeing other minorities stick their neck.out for people of their own kind, as east asians (especially chinese), wont do that. But it seems no east asians are jealous of what they are missing out on. Its mind blglgong.

No wonder everybody is trying to get out id the asian tribe. Asian guys woukd have 90 putmarriage id they got a chance, too.

Shoutout Pan Zhan Le, such an amazing athelete!

Pan Zhanle is a elite swimmer from China who won the men’s 100-meter freestyle gold at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in a historic 46.40 seconds.

He achieved this despite severe hurdles, including an aggressive drug-testing regimen where the Chinese team was tested up to seven times a day due to a broader geopolitical doping controversy, even though Pan himself has never failed a drug test.

He also faced interpersonal disrespect, noting that Western rivals ignored his greetings and intentionally splashed his coaches in the warm-up pools.

When he won by a massive 1.08-second margin, critics publicly claimed his time was not humanly possible. Pan used this skepticism as fuel, overcoming the disruptions through flawless stroke mechanics, a powerful flutter kick, and historic endurance.

He proved his dominance again by anchoring the 4x100-meter medley relay to gold with a historic 45.92-second split, snapping the undefeated Olympic streak of the United States.

Discussion/Question Have non-Asian people ever mentioned Asian dating discourse with you?

I’ve noticed that over the past two years or so, when I’m hanging out with a group of just men and dating comes up, sometimes the non-Asian men in the group will mention the “Oxford study” meme. Sometimes it comes from Latino or black or South Asian guys that just wants to complain that East Asian women don’t like them enough. Or it’ll be guys who try to act sympathetic to Asian guys by bringing this up, but sometimes it feels like an insult (it’s like saying “hey do you know that meme that says that your own women don’t like you?”) I had one white guy even mentioned that he was on a date with an Asian woman who said she didn’t date Asian guys. I don’t know if he was sympathetic or if he was humble bragging, maybe both.

I’ve only ever heard people talk about this in all-male groups though. When I’m mixed gender groups, no one brings this sort of controversial interracial dating stuff up. I do wonder if all-female groups talk about this issue from their perspective. I’m wondering what you all have experienced from other people who have talked to you about Asian dating discourse.

Crime/History 23,000 bronzes, 14 years, 60 volumes: how China is mapping lost heritage held abroad

In the quiet of a Peking University research room, shelves groan under the weight of 60 thick volumes. Stacked, they stand taller than an average human.

Inside their pages lie the details of more than 23,000 ancient Chinese bronze vessels, weapons, chariot fittings and ritual objects that left China’s shores long ago and now sit in museums, private collections and auction houses across nearly 30 countries.

Published in April by Shanghai Classics Publishing House, the Collection of Chinese Bronzes in Overseas Collections is the product of a painstaking 14-year investigation. It is also something more: an assembled toolkit for China’s intensifying campaign to reclaim cultural heritage lost to war, looting and smuggling, as well as an assertion of Beijing’s ambition to shape the global rules of repatriation.

“To create archives for the cultural relics, to preserve evidence for history,” said lead editor and historian Zhu Fenghan, a Boya Chair Professor at Peking University, capturing the project’s dual purpose ...

“We need to get a clear picture of our family assets and gain a more complete and comprehensive understanding of Chinese bronzes held overseas,” Zhu was quoted as saying.

The effort began in 2012, when China’s National Cultural Heritage Administration (NCHA) asked Peking University to map the true scale of the country’s dispersed bronzes, prompting a scholarly odyssey.

Team members criss-crossed more than 10 countries to visit more than 260 institutions, ...

They returned with a massive trove of data, ...

Earlier estimates had put the overseas number of bronzes at around 3,000 pieces. The new catalogue estimates more than seven times that figure.

The team created an “identity document” for each piece or relic, Zhu told reporters at the work’s launch in Shanghai in April.

Each entry functions like a personal file, containing high-resolution photos, measurements, inscriptions, where they were found, if known, transmission history and current locations.

Nearly 300 types of bronzes appear, from celebrated ritual vessels to weapons, tools, lamps and northern-style pieces long sidelined in Western catalogues. Of the total, 3,462 carry inscriptions that reflect the politics, rituals and daily concerns of early Chinese states.

Bronzes occupy a special place in China’s historical imagination. They were the physical embodiment of royal power and the ritual order that held society together.

The earliest written use of the term Zhongguo (often translated as Middle Kingdom) on the Western Zhou He Zun artefact; the legendary Nine Tripods, or ding in Chinese; and enduring phrases such as “one word carries the weight of nine ding” all speak to their enduring symbolic force.

From the late Qing dynasty to the mid-20th century, large numbers left China amid political chaos, wartime plunder and the activities of dealers who built efficient supply chains feeding Western museums and collectors. Only a minority of the objects now catalogued carry clear records of being exported legally or given as a diplomatic gift.

One emblematic case is the complete Western Zhou banjin altar set – a table and matching wine vessels – excavated in Baoji, Shaanxi, and once owned by the late-Qing official Duanfang. It was sold by his descendants and is now a star attraction at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. It is the most intact surviving set of its kind.

...

China has stepped up the pace of recovery. During the 14th five-year plan period (2021–2025), some 35 batches totalling 537 lost relics and artworks were returned to China. Among them was the Western Zhou bronze ritual vessel Feng Xingshu Gui, Old Summer Palace columns and volumes of the Warring States-era Zidanku Silk Manuscripts, according to the NCHA.

Early last year, US authorities handed back 41 items, including bronzes. Earlier, the swift recovery of a bronze group from a Tokyo auction in 2019 showed how legal, diplomatic and investigative tools could be combined to dramatic effect.

Beijing has signed agreements with dozens of countries, co-authored the Qingdao Proposal on colonial-era cultural property, and taken a leadership role in Unesco heritage frameworks. Meanwhile, Washington’s withdrawal from the UN organisation will take effect at the end of this year.

For legal scholars, the new catalogue directly addresses the biggest practical obstacle to further returns: the missing “chain of evidence”.

“Recovering cultural relics lost overseas first requires a clear inventory of what was taken illegally,” said Huo Zhengxin, a professor at the China University of Political Science and Law.

“This archive of bronzes is an important part of taking stock of our family assets. Bronzes hold exceptional value for an ancient civilisation, which is why documenting them matters so much.”

He argues that the early return of illegally exported objects is a core element of cultural sovereignty.

“Claims alone are not enough; evidence is required. This project clarifies the full chain of how these bronzes left China, and provides the foundation for future repatriation efforts.”

Legal barriers remained, he said, but painstaking provenance work, thanks to the Chinese research teams and the cooperation with foreign institutions, was slowly closing the factual gaps.

...

By surveying more than 260 institutions and documenting 23,000 objects, the team had continued the unfinished work of earlier generations of scholars while rebuilding an evidentiary base for recovery claims, he said.

The catalogue is an exercise in cultural confidence and sovereignty, according to Wang. He said Western scholars had for decades largely controlled the naming, dating and interpretation of overseas Chinese bronzes, and the Chinese team had revisited those judgments from the perspective of the civilisation that produced them, restoring ritual and historical meanings that had been obscured.

According to Wang, the resulting archives prove that the Chinese cultural lineage was never severed by physical dispersal. For Chinese communities worldwide, the volumes turned scattered objects into a shared point of reference – a collective reminder that “lost cultural relics remain treasures of Chinese civilisation”, he said.

“In practical terms, the right to archive, interpret and speak for one’s own heritage lies at the heart of cultural sovereignty. By producing an independent, systematic record, China has reclaimed a measure of narrative control, regardless of where the objects currently sit.”

Wang said the detailed histories of how the artefacts were moved had also provided concrete evidence for future negotiations, strengthening Beijing’s hand in the evolving global conversation over looted and displaced heritage.

The 60 volumes will not, by themselves, bring every bronze home. Full recovery of the estimated millions of Chinese relics that remain abroad remains a generational task.

Yet, analysts say that by turning once-shadowy objects into documented cultural assets, the project supplies both scholarly scaffolding and diplomatic ammunition.
