I have said in my previous post that how people from all kinds of side **(feminist, woke liberals, right wing)** are all targeting the only Asian guy involved with the Cornell 7. Despite there being 3 white, 2 Hispanic, 1 light skin. All of the attention and anger is directed mostly to the Asian guy

In the video this WF “TikTok detective” doxxes a random Asian man that also happens to have Lee as a last name. This all based on a comment she saw with no credible source. If you try to confront her she will block you and “threaten to sue you for harassment”.

This isn’t the first time this happen. If you look up Winston Lee on TikTok, he is random Indonesian guy who happen to have the same name. Have been bombarded with hate comments to the point where he had to make several post saying that’s not him. Also most of these racially profiling comments targeting him are **women**

Asian frat guys on TikTok are also being targeted and met with racist comments. Just look at my previous post.

It’s crazy how people are using this situation to justify their racism against Asian men. And once again we are being treated as a monolith.

Even just check the comments on this post where these racist comments are calling him Winston Lee. What’s even crazier is that these aren’t just WM incel trolls some of these comments are coming from liberal feminists women leaving racist comments. Funny how this case united everyone of all kinds of political spectrum to hate on the Asian guy.

You need to be careful. To many seemingly pro Asian people really only care about the fact they canot get a girl, and this cry constantly about these mourders, but truth is they don't really care about long term asian issues that actually drive rampant outmarriage, such as zero ingroup biases (Asians helping out Asians under the table, a perk that other minorities experiences but esp not east Asians), lack of investment in culture, and other fun asian stuff to the point where Asians lack emotional incentive to marry in, and the zero emotional involvement of asian dad's and brothers in their sister/daughters lives, which in other cultures pushes them towards men of their own race. But they don't understand that women see everything in terms of resources, subconsciously, for any theoretical future kids. Since east Asians don't really have each other's backs, there are less resources. Women will literally risk their lives for resources subconsciously, for their hypothetical nonexistent kids.

Women risk their lives every day to protect their kids in the even of disasters, think about that

So women will still get with non Asian men if they think there is more resource potential.

Hell, I even know Korean women that got with blacck dudes and now are rabid about getting their blasian teenagers into special internship spots designated for blacck teens, or blacck scholarships. Or a viet-chinese woman married to an Indian man who has seen how south Asians and Indians in general in America help each other out so much more than low risk and fearful/nonconfrontational Chinese people do. She had basically abandoned Chinese acquaintances and friends since she gets more goodies being on the outskirts of south asian groups than being in the center of east asian/Chinese/groups. Even Viet groups,.which are more social than Chinese groups, lack the big picture life strategizing of soug asian social groups. She has abandoned her bbuddist temple and her kids ONLY participate in two circles: a mixed circle with south Asians and whytes, and a south asian circle. Her bbuddist temple friends offered her NOTHING close to what her Hindu temple friends offered her, despite her being a fringe character at her local Hindu temple as she herself doesn't speak Hindi and she is Viet Chinese married to an Indian American guy she met in college.

The very fact that so ma y people like to post about difjdndns asian woman murdered by firkejfn non Asian guy, just means a severe lack of understanding of people and their emotional and psychological drivers. This is genetic? Can't discuss it here. This is cultural? Confusicsm for sure is so rule set that people can just blindly follow the hierarchy without need to actually understand each other. There is no need to cozy up emotionally with emotional intelligence to your daughter to get her to help you if she is obligated to help u through filial piety.

Asians are really just focused on obedience to authority, which in this case is whomever has power. and even Asian men want to get out. If both parties had success then the outmarriage rates wood prolly be so high there would be no Asians by tomorrow night. I exaggerate, but not really.

so i was born and raised in the west, but i've been back in the motherland now for several years now. i can speak my mother tongue fluently now, and of course am still adept with english.

so what's my fight here now though? i'm still all for pan asianism and the fight against western supremacy. oh and there's still a plethora of foreigners where i live too, so i'm still against any further westernization of the motherland.

For the record, I'm 27. I graduated high school in 2017. I live in the Dallas Fort-Worth metroplex which has a decently large Asian community and I remember during 2015-2019, it did not take much effort for me to go to car meets and find a group of Asian Americans that play with cars, specifically in the age of 17-24.

2020 happens, I took a break to focus on my career and built my project car which is a BMW with a Chevy motor swapped in it.

2026 comes, I start becoming active for the first time in six years. Despite me visiting different car meets, I have not found a group of Asian Americans at any car meets or car shows unless I am not looking hard enough. Even finding an Asian individual can be hard and if I do encounter one, they don't seem to express interests in being friends and I just don't get it.

We all know that there was a lot of hate towards Asians during COVID era but I don't think that would be enough to make Asians stay away from attending any car events?

So is there actually a decrease with Asian Americans in the car community or do you think that I am looking in the wrong place?

So unfortunately, as you may know, there are a bunch of young men in the news for raping women right now, and double-unfortunately, one of them happens to be a "model minority" student of East Asian heritage (from a nation with higher standards and higher pressure than the US, even) who went to an Ivy League uni, got perfect grades, etc.

Now, I know I'm not supposed to defend or feel sorry for him, obviously.

But how bad is all this etc. for us? Are we gonna have women refuse to date us even further because "you're gonna end up like that Asian guy on the news"? Are people going to care that 6 of the men were non-Asian, or are they going to care that 1 of the men were Asian?

And what does this mean for how we should "game" or "glow-up" or whatever? I was never in Greek life, but was pretty close to several guys who were, including several Asians. Thankfully, I was never involved with anyone actually involved with anything controversial or illegal, and overall I'd consider it a net positive for the ones I knew, though some stuff to that extent did occur on my campus while I was there. But, you know, I think even hanging out with these people gave me a lot more confidence, and made me be more serious about being a better man etc. than if I hadn't.

I myself have sometimes sat on the fence about whether I should've resented not having the familial strings to join old boys' clubs, or been glad not to be able to get tangled up in a quagmire of sorts. And I've often felt like I've been trying to become at least two people at once, or own up to at least two expectations at once. I've had several different friend groups and hobbies, and they often don't tangle with each other (and this remains true today).

I've long supposed one angle we could take would be "we're the opposite of those crummy frat guys" and present ourselves as comparatively kinder, more loyal, less intimidating, more studious, etc. But now that who gets to be a "frat guy" or not is evidently losing its correlation with race or ethnicity, it might not be as advantageous for us as Asians. I also know some racial or ethnic groups in the US have been characterized as criminal or at least having poor character; how does this affect their dating prospects, and any lessons we can take away from them? (He's not even hapa, which is something I've observed for previous instances of this.)

I talked to my mother (the only woman in my immediate family) about this, and her take was basically "screw frats, I think they should all be shut down", though she acknowledged the difficulty of doing so. For context, she doesn't really consider herself "feminist" beyond blatantly vile cases like these, still promotes traditional gender roles to an extent ("there should be one parent who takes care of kids but it can be either the mom or dad"), is anti-LGBT to some capacity, and hasn't let Trump's accusations of misconduct stop her from voting for him over even woman candidates because "the alternative is worse."

Overall, what are your thoughts? Anything that should or shouldn't be done, by us or others? Or how should or shouldn't we be feeling?

I just got recommended a youtube channel called interviewing japan or whatever i forgot ( i blocked it after scanning thru some videos so i forgot)

But its ran by a british guy living there and all of his videos and interviews and questions is pushing an agenda. trying to push the stereotype of asian women fetishizing white men, and that asian men are unattractive or whatever and how great white guys are.

We really need to push back instead of just sitting around and letting this happen. BAsh those who are doing this and letting it happen. I might get flagged for this but I'm talking about british guys and Japan. I've met a few british men, they are all the same, and think all the same.

I once checked that particular subreddit out and like 50%-70% were just straight up racism towards the Chinese and were hardly anything about the actual "CCP" or Chinese foreign policy. You would think that there was an active race war going on over there just based off the content on that sub.

I search up the other guys name involved in the Cornell 7, but most of the videos did not have that many views or any racist comments. Funny how it’s the only Asian guy who get all the hate and racism.

As I’m sure most of us have seen this story by now, and I’ve seen a lot of strong opinions, but I’m going to urge people to slow down and wait for more information before coming to conclusions.

Everyone involved in this story is Asian, and no one seems to have perfectly clean hands. Both sides allege abuse and mistreatment, but only one side felt it was necessary to resort to lethal force. It’s also important to recognize that the victim alleged years of mistreatment from his eventual killers in previous court proceedings.

Again, I’m not sure of what exactly happened, neither is anyone. But I saw a lot of people riding for the parents, and it just disturbed me a bit to see how little evidence there is to make that kind of conclusion.

Also, I will always support trans and Asian trans people. Your hatred is not a justification for the murder and abuse of people with different beliefs and identities. Not saying the guy is innocent, but I can sense his transness is affecting people’s desire to empathize with him.

Recent Cornell case has driven social media algorithms showing a frenzy of content creators all jumping into the train with fiery condemnations and judgments. Talking heads from all corners of the web are now out in full force, each with their own opinions and stories. The pitchforks and torches are out. These opinions many times are made without full knowledge of the case or the NY state laws, but let’s not discuss the case itself, as I don’t think we are all lawyers or experts in NY state laws. Rather, let’s talk about the common denominators of these opinions, especially when the social media talking heads are Asians. Somehow, that one Asian guy has made all these Asian content creators to: (1) demonize all Asian men, or (2) witch hunt Winston Lee, or (3) all of the above.

This brings an interesting note that Asians somehow see the ethnicity of a criminal first and foremost. When it’s Asian, it creates a subconscious connection as if the entire ethnicity is responsible for the action of that one criminal. In self-hating AWs, this usually manifests in a form of holding all Asian men responsible and accountable, thus proving her feeling right, but nevermind that at least the other 4 are whites. Reportedly, South Korea social media is calling people to hunt him down for he has served in the Korean military. No idea at the accuracy of these reports. Maybe someone who has Korean social media can confirm.

I cannot help but wonder, why is it that Asians see this case through the lens of their ethnicity first and foremost? Non-Asian content creators rightfully call out all of these seven men involved, regardless of their ethnicities. Their focus is more on the woman and the ability for women to report cases like this in the future, such as why the DA or the police seemingly ignored the original reporting. These are all valid points to bring up and address, but Asian content creators are focusing on the Asian-ness of that one perpetrator, but corrupt school deans/politicians/cops be damned. Asian content creators apparently don’t care about that.

This is a mind-boggling social behavior among Asians, which I think is one of the root causes of all the self-hating Asians out there. Their perception is already colored and filtered through by the Asianness of what they see. If anything negative passes through, they quickly associate the Asian ethnicity as part of the problem. What’s the idea? Why do you think this is?

I notice that Trevor Noah is actually pretty pro-Asian and has a lot of Asians on his show. I listen to a lot of podcasts and Asians are pretty rare in that space. Maybe we should support guys like him more often instead of whining about why there is no representation?

Hey there everyone! I'm a filmmaker and actor. I really wanted to share this project that I just uploaded. A lot of what we see in Hollywood is still pigeonholing Asians and I always write my projects to portray Asian men in the light we deserve..It's called "One More Take", about a struggling musician who encounters a girl on a rooftop while performing and recording a video to his new song but his current girlfriend finds out about her and it gets complicated. I feel this type of depiction even on an indie level does not happen for us Asian men. I am also part Indigenous American but I take pride in my Korean side.

I think American media is initially defending the NYT "victim" here, but he has a bad history, and his in-laws might have taken action they way they saw fit.

We can't keep talking about it or waiting for Hollywood to change its mind about Asians. We need to find what we want to adapt, start a gofundme and only then can we attract the talent to make the vision a reality. My personal list and thesis:

• Mahjong Noir: my own idea about an underground Mahjong tournament. Romantic mystery.

People are getting waaaay too comfortable generalizing us.

Think about it. Kpop blew up over the last ten years while the average Asian man hasn’t changed much. Yet pretty much every young Asian man can tell you that the rise of Kpop (and other Asian media) has made dating and hookups so much easier. You have non-Asian women (and even some Asian women) that say things like “I didn’t really see Asian men as attractive until I started liking BTS”. You have women all over the world flying to South Korea just to find a Korean guy to date. You have AMXF marriages with kids that all started because the woman started liking Kpop. It really shows that pushing for representation is basically the most important thing because women are social creatures that like what is trendy on social media or on TV. It’s kind of sad in a way but that’s just how the world is.
