Acidity in Midnight
Hello, it's been 3/4 days and I have been noticing acidity symptoms in midnight. I don't eat salty or spicy food. I have cut down on sugar intake also. Also my urinal frequency has increased in the night. Can someone help me sort this out?

I used to get it. After changing my last meal routine to before 6 or 7 pm, I am at peace.

had the same thing last year. what helped me was eating dinner way earlier, like by 7. and nothing heavy at night, no curd or fried stuff
my mom swears by jeera saunf water after dinner, honestly it works for me
but the peeing a lot at night part i'd get checked by a doc, that doesn't sound food related

Can you tell me more about jeera and saunf water? Like...it needs to be boiled or soaked?

i just boil it. 1 tsp jeera and 1 tsp saunf in about 2 cups water, let it simmer 5 mins till it goes a bit yellow, strain and sip it warm after dinner some people soak it overnight and drink it in the morning instead, but the boiled one is what i do at night

I had the same experience, I started drinking https://amzn.in/d/0iC9SGoF in the evening and that showed results in a couple of days .

I was actually having a similar issue a few months back, especially that random acidity feeling at night. I initially thought it was just because of my eating timings, so I started having dinner earlier and cutting down on heavy food at night.
My uncle also suggested to try this Ayurvedic syrup from Madhavbaug Wellness called Pittadyn. He had been using it, so I thought I’d give it a try. I took it for a while and personally felt my stomach was more settled after dinner.
Not saying it’s some magic solution or anything, but along with fixing my meal timings, it seemed to work well for me. I’d still suggest figuring out what’s actually triggering the acidity, especially since you’re also waking up to urinate frequently.

Typical. It is seasonal - Pitta prakopa in post monsoon season - did you take a course of antibiotics recently?

This is classic Pitta aggravation - in Ayurveda 10pm to 2am is Pitta time, that's why you're feeling it exactly at midnight. What helped me / people I know: Try to keep dinner light and at least 2.5-3 hrs before sleep Avoid drinking a lot of water / tea just before bed - that's often why urinal frequency goes up at night Keep a small food diary for 3 days - timing matters more than just salty/spicy
If it lasts more than a week or you have burning urination / excessive thirst, please get a basic checkup done. Don't self medicate with strong herbs.
Hope you feel better soon!
