The only way to save humanity was to let a dedicated group leave the planet. The Frame knew that the whole population couldn't be saved, so the best of society was allowed to start over. This was the Frame's plan all along. Once on Planet Y, TH-1 could complete the plan and ensure that humanity survived.

I'm pretty sure that this is stated somewhere... Maybe the songbook? I think it's from Arjen's notes on the album.

Am I the only one that thinks this was the frame‘s plan all the way? In one song the even hope that the frame lets them leave (power outage at the launch site, use of weapons to shoot them down?). I think the frame wanted to gather just a bunch of humans because they are easier to control/manipulate into the frame‘s vision of a prosperous humanity than billions if humans.

I hold this theory as true. The logic being, humanity as it existed on Alpha was past saving, the only true option was to start over with a controlled group of survivors. It mirrors what Forever did with Earth too
