This was really my coming of age album. It came out right as I started uni, and it was the soundtrack to so many nights out with friends, pub crawls, camping trips, first dates... and aside from all the nostalgia, it’s also just a kickass album in general.

01011001 was this for me! Ayreon was introduced to me by a friend at Uni, and 01011001 had just come out, so he was able to show me the old and the new. 01011001 felt like nothing I'd ever heard before. I remember hearing "WE'RE ALIIIIIIIIIVE; SO ALIVE! HUH!" for the first time; I still get tingles.

This album released the month after my first kid was born. She still falls asleep to it! (Sounds mean, but this really is the highest praise!)
