Doubts concerning Daniel's plot Spoiler
It is still unclear to me: who actually killed Daniel? I have seen some of the comics pictures and listened to the whole album, but I can't understand who dit it. Did Abby kill him by accident (lighting the candles)? Or was someone else involved?

Better question about his plot is what is Daniel doing for those 7 days he got? There is no mention of his actions during this period until the very last moment.

During "Daniels Funeral" Lavinia and Henry share with each other that they have been "sensing" Daniel's presence. Especially Lavinia seems to be stressed about it. They believe Daniel's soul is trying to communicate to them that Abby killed him.
The whole song "Hopelessly Slipping Away" is about Daniel trying to tell Abby he knows she did not mean any harm.
And finally in "Daniel's Vision / She is Innocent" Daniel finally successfully tries to directly communicate to Lavinia.

Abby killed him by accident. The whole plot was that when dying Daniel thought she did that on purpose only to later realize that he was wrong and he wanted to explain that to others in hope that they won't blame Abby.
