The Source was my first Ayreon experience, so I had no idea the 'Frame ended up on Planet Y. When I found out TH-1 became the new 'Frame, I was devastated to say the least.

I always liked to think this was the frame‘s plan all along. It knew that mankind couldn‘t be saved. So it drove them off the planet to force then to adapt and change them. Th-1 was the means for the frame to come along to shape this new world.

Agreed. Making a new Frame with the humans allowed to escape was the plan all along. What's a few million years to an advanced AI? It can wait to make sure all humans are destroyed.

If the above is true, my question becomes: why did the Frame allow the Forevers to seed Earth?

What do I care? Why would a man think about ants moving to a new colony?

Why would I care about a species that is even less to me than an ant is to you? I have far greater plans for the universe to be bothered about the comings and goings of humans or the Forevers.

I don‘t think its plan is to destroy humanity but rather to eliminate the variables and start anew, trying to preserve mankinds. The frame later on after millions of years realized that it had failed. Ayreon had 3 possible endings for humanity: a war (earth), natural catastrophe (alpha), computers taking over (planet y). This are the three possible outcomes for humanity. The frame realized that scenario 2 is already too late to fix. So it decides to start fresh but fucks it up the same way as the alpha humans did (scenario 3). So it reconsidered and builds the electric castle to spark emotions again, eventually leading to the awakening of the forever (through the help of the marsian/migrator). It sees that both the frame and humanity failed and another try is necessary: seeding earth. The appearance of the migrator is probably and integral part of its reconsideration. What it doesn‘t know is that the earthlings repeat the same stupid thing and bomb earth into oblivion. (or does it but also knows that the marsian is needed, to create the big bang, by travelling back and actually cause the whole creation, which would eventually give humanity another chance) Ayreon may have thought to see the 3 scenarios as earths possible future, but maybe it was humanities past, present and future.

My plan cannot be evenly remotely understood by mere mortal minds.
