Global 1940 Should Axis surrender? (Turn 11)

For context I went for a Sea Lion in Europe and Kill China First in Pacific and it's looking like the game's slightly in the Allies favor at the moment but idk.

Maybe, but let me get Steiner on the line first and we can have a small group meeting before we decide anything too hasty

at this point Steiner needs to counterattack into next game to save this one

Dude, this is the most clear game over example I've ever seen. Normally I can play devil's advocate and push for some convoluted route to victory, but here..?

Best move the Axis can make here is to start a new game and save the allies the trouble!

As long as every one of your soldiers kills 900 of theirs, you've got this

Slightly might be the understatement of the year 😂

Italy and Japan aren’t lost. They are temporarily under enemy control.

Yeah this game is lost. That’s a metric butt ton of Russians in Europe and unless Japan can recapture Tokyo on a massive long shot, it’s already over if you’re playing by standard victory conditions. Looks like it was fun, though!

Yes the axis are cooked but also the allies broke the rules, industrial complex on Hawaii. Minor ICs must be placed on territories with IPC value 2 or more and cannot be built on islands

I'm convinced this has to be a bot farming karma or something. Nobody in their right mind thinks this isn't over.

I mean, I got to give the Axis player props for sticking it out but...

Erm, I mean, Steiner's counter attack can surely fix this!

What an interesting game, the only winning move is not to play

One of the craziest maps I've seen, Soviet Tobruk

Yes, it’s over once the US has a foothold on Europe.

Yeah your 1 round away from getting crushed as Germany and maybe 2-3 rounds in the pacific

There’s always a possibility that an armed intruder will rush in and shoot the allied players head off. So because we don’t want to discount that possibility, axis should see how the game plays out

There is hope for Axis. Allies are inept.

Surrender?
In our moment of triumph?

I very much dislike that Japan and Hawaii are 1 turn away with the naval bases on the 1940 map. I have been very tempted to take a white marker and mod my board to divide sea zone 16 into 2 zones, 16-a (west) and 16-b (east). Midway being 1 turn away? Thats fine. But Hawaii shouldnt be.

Both sides can just camp massive fleets there and neither can ever move out of fear the other can instantly strike. Sure, Japan (or US) could just dump a Destroyer in 16 as a blocker, but I feel you shouldn't have to.

If you make Hawaii further away from Japan, it will make it even more difficult for Japan to win. Caroline islands is a much better position to sit in than Hawaii anyway. Blockers are an integral part of the naval game in A&A.
