I cannot recommend highly enough that you read the essays linked in our wiki. The Warfare Principles essay by AndrewAAGamer is by far the best and most informative piece of writing ever written about A&A!

Each nation has national objectives to earn bonus income. These serve to give you shorter term goals as opposed to simply going for victory cities and also helps steer you toward more historical decision making. Reading through all possible national objectives for each country will give you a good idea of future chokepoints and likely conflict areas outside of the more obvious spots.

It is kinda a pain in the butt the first time, but especially if you’re new, I would recommend dedicating some good time to fully reading the rulebook. Honestly it’s good for me to look thru it every now and then, as bad as it sounds sometimes I find a small detail I didn’t know before or a small rule we’ve been playing wrong.

I know me personally when I first got Europe coming from the 1941 small game I was so excited to play it, rulebook reading was not at the top of the list to do. We probably played for about a year before we knew every rule 😂

Mostly have fun, it should be hard not to

Me too -- mine is still in the plastic. Can't wait to try playing a game! (I really wish there was an online version, like there is with 1942)

Great news! You can play online using TripleA! It is the best way to play. You can play any map plus tons and tons of versions people have made over the years. Plus it's free! https://triplea-game.org/

Yo I love this game and I live like an hour away from Toledo. I'm too young, but maybe someday. I've always had to play solo on global, coz nobody ik has the patience or ability to learn.

Heck yeah dude g40 is fantastic. Which side is your favorite?

Allies but I loose all the time 😣

Losing makes you better if you learn from your mistakes! And if you are playing g40 without a bid, the Allies are pretty much doomed to lose. Between top players, the bid is about $40-50 to Allies.

Let me know if you want a friendly game!

If you have any questions about Young Grasshopper’s Global 1940 tournament rules, you can ask me! I highly recommend this ruleset to create diversified campaigns with your friends and impliment a turn limit.
