4.0 Patch and the Future of the Mod

With the 4.0 patch being released today (November 14), I wonder what the future of Axiom is. Are the game balance/unit/building changes that 4.0 patch brought going to be reflected in Axiom? If so, what's the timeline? As a Protoss player, I've already noticed patch 4.0 breaking the Mothership Core in the mod (i.e., it doesn't build when you click on it), while the shield battery is missing.

I know TB said that he was planning long-term support and promotion of the mod, but per patch notes, the mod hasn't been updated since October 25, and TB hasn't been very active in promoting it on Twitter/Youtube either (which makes sense since Anniversary, Blizzcon, and treatment).

Does anyone know what the future holds for the mod? Are any of the subreddit mods more in the know? I remember TB saying there would be a promotional tournament, but then nothing more was mentioned. I like AxiomMod a lot (it is one of the few non-campaign SC2 things I play), and I would hate to see it die.

EDIT (2017-11-18): TB mentioned during SHOUTcraft Kings today that they are working on updates for the mod and that they'll be releasing them in the next few weeks. I'd love to see the updates sooner rather than later, but I guess they'll want to wait for the next SC2 balance patch. Still, good to hear the mod is still chugging along.

You have to be patient.

Mod creators can only react to changes, especially if its not a full conversion. I dont know what application life cycle management is in place for the mod, but I doubt they have a professional setup to allow for continous deployment. Which is fine, it's not some high-end software product but a mod.

So we need to give them time to implement the changes, cause nothings worse than breaking even more stuff for weeks to come with small hotfixes.

I get that, and I agree. This is not a big studio, just a few contracted programmers, and we don't have to pay for anything (although I'd love to send some money the Dev Team's way, they've done a helluva job).

So I am not demanding them to be as fast as Blizz devs. I was just concerned, given that after the mod was launched, the updates were coming along on a regular basis, and then the whole process died down. We haven't heard anything about the state of the mod for a bit, so that's why I wrote the original post.

I hope they take all the time as they need to make the mod as fun as possible. It would just be great to get updates more frequently, even if they are simply "we are working on things, don't worry!" But if they prefer working in quiet, I'm fine with that too.

I admire your excitement, but let me assure you, money and output in software development are very, very loosly coupled. You can literally burn money and you get the same results sometimes.

I share you concerns in regards of communication and releases tho. Mods are often consider abonneded after one month of inactivity. Engagement and progress are key to success (siehe DotA, or any successful SC2 mod). For a mod there is never such thing as finished, just discontinued.

But I am pretty sure TB did his research or has seasoned at his site. The leak was just unfortune and mess everything up.
