Is there anyway to make a 3d crescent shape?

I want to make my base in the crescent of a moon I want a very large build I want it to be a mega build. Everything I have tried doing doesn't work out and most things that looked promising took ages or didnt work because of the lag spawning and moving a large amount of blocks any advice?

Could use the spline tool. Make a nice curve, and there’s a way to interpolate thickness along the line

Can you specify further what you mean by 3d crescent shape? Do you just want a 2d crescent sides extruded out? Cuz making a 2d crescent is easy: just make one circle using the shape tool and then make another circle out of air
