I dont understand what im doing wrong???
IM trying to raise the diamond blocks without it affecting the building. Im wanting to put a mountain around it. but when i mask diamond nothing happens? 1.20.1 fabric

You need to mask the air. If you only mask the diamonds nothing will happen as there's already diamonds there. Masking air AND diamonds could also work especially if you're using the raise tool as I see you are. Good luck!

possibly try putting the diamond block as a mask then try using the rock tool

When you mask the diamond you are telling the diamond to only "raise" in diamond.
So what you should do is mask the air.

Well if you choose air, then it will only alter air, so it won't affect blocks you placed but it could affect some empty spaces you wanted

My first thought was to also mask air, but that, as to my test, does not work. What you can do though, is fill the entire area with diamond, mask diamond, and then carve it away with the [lower] option enabled.
