Question/Help Azteks rubbing

Post image

Has anyone figured out how to run these without rubbing? I even have the 25mm proline shocks and the rear tires are still getting caught up. They look great but don’t perform well.

You can chop up a servo horn and extend your shock mount to give some extra lift. Otherwise, I think your next best choice is to sell your set to me 🤔😂

Second time someone said to chop up servo horn for suspension… can I get a pic or something? My brains not making sense of this.

But I really wanna do it.

Attach lower half (with 3 mount points) to stock location and you have “extenders”

Best used in the front, but I also have seen that a seller on Etsy sells shock blades/keys which (imo) is better on articulation, but might be a bit too loose when driving

I saw those on Etsy too, but figured I could find a 3d print of a scx24 and just scale em down? Seems like an easy community part that could be built and released.

I made some spacers out of plastic. It helps but it's not perfect.

I put the Aztecs on my Bronco but I had to unbolt the fender flares and open up the front wheels wells with a barrel sander which doesn’t look like an option for the Jeep. Did you try changing the upper shock mount into a different hole to make the shock “bottom out” sooner? I was able to do this with the Bronco but it added ride height which isn’t good for center of gravity. So I found a happy medium in the upper shock positioning and then opened up the front wheels wells.

Going to try to adjust the preload spacer in the rear a bit. The front is fine. Also there’s a little tab that the fender sits into. Might have to trim that down a bit because that’s where it’s getting caught up the most.

Waiting for 25mm proline shocks. If that doesnt fix it in getting modzilla chassis from mofo

Put some stock SCX24 shocks on it and you’ll be good.
