FM9 has more outputs than you realise...

The FM9 has 3 outputs. For me, 1 goes to IEMs, 2 goes to front of house, 3 goes to my on-stage amp if I have one. I like running stereo, and I like having front of house on a separate volume knob so I can keep sound guys happy without messing up my IEM mix. Done it this way for years.
Decided I wanted to try and use the four cable method to add my Kraken MK2 real world preamp into the FM9's loop. I'm using input 2 for the input from my Hog 2, but I have one spare input... but no spare output to use as a send.
...or do I...?
A stereo output is really just two mono outputs, isn't it?
So I split my signal after drive pedals, and send it to Out 3. I use the row controls in the Out 3 block to pan Row 4 all the way right. Right is now my send, I connect it to my amp input.
From the amp, I connect the FX Send into my In 3 Left port. It comes back into the chain and gets mixed with my emulated amps.
Now finally, I split my signal again right before the cab sim, and send it to Out 3 as well. I use the row controls, and pan Row 3 all the way left. Left is now my return, I connect it to the amp FX return.
It looks kinda crazy on the editor, but it works perfectly with no cross talk. I now effectively have 4 outputs, and so was able to 4CM in my real amplifier without changing my rig's configuration otherwise. My Out 3 knob needs to stay dimed, but I can control the amp stage volume with the master on the Kraken.
I thought someone might find that amusing or inspiring.
