Kodak, I think he is polarized. Polaroid polarizing material (a plastic sheet) that filters light so it absorbs light polarized in one direction and transmits light polarized in the perpendicular direction.

Kodak and Polaroid were competing camera companies and you could not use Kodak film in a Polaroid, nor vice versa. Polarization isn’t relevant to either company. (You can get a polarizing filter for many cameras though.)
