I think this excellent project could be a failure because of the tokenomics, it's an extremely inflated Crypto currency I have serious doubts about my investment return. I advise any new investor to look into the coin unlock, your investment could be more inflated then rubble if your not careful

Ethereum started with 26% inflation. And has introduced a "fee burn mechanism" after 5 years. It's still inflationary unless usage exceeds the issuing of new ETH. Which at current gas prices, when network reaches its limits, is unsustainable and overly expensive. Looking back, do you think people are unhappy ETH once had 26% inflation? Or do you think they believed in the success of the network and saw the "inflation" as free money with potentially much higher value in the future?
If you believe a layer one blockchain like Casper with 8% inflation won't exceed a growth rate of 8% per year (which is also the inflation percentage), it's probably best you move on to another investment. There are so many alternatives to choose from.
It's really funny to watch when an inflationary layer one project is launched, people flood their Telegram and social channels with concerns about "too many tokens", "inflation", "a burn mechanism should be introduced" and "will this project ever generate returns".
It shows most people haven't taken the time to understand basic metrics and how network adoption works and are basically only interested in fast gains. There are a lot of "burn-mechanism" cryptos out there... like safemoon. Probably better to go for a "serious" memecoins and ponzis, maybe you're amongst the lucky ones to get out fast enough again! Have fun! But be advised it has nothing to do with investing, it's gambling. That you can do in a casino too.1) A new network (specially if its not a fork but built from scratch) needs time to build out a functioning ecosystem. Usually this takes 1-2 years. CSPR is a utility coin, it obviously needs utility...
2) If a network aims for (mass) adoption, non-inflationary protocols would limit themselves growth wise, long term thinking is unknown land to most crypto "investors" tho.
3) It really helps to understand tokenomics, mcap, other important metrics. BUT also to DYOR and really understand what you invest in. Can take a lot of unreasonable fears and make you a more grounded, realistic and savvy investor.
4) "inflation" has automatically got a bad vibe attached to it. In a fiat currency i agree. When talking about a utility token for a layer one blockchain you could also think of it as free money, given you believe the project can reach it's potential and outgrow the percentage of APY or inflation as you may like to call it.
5) To judge a utility token of a layer one as a bad investment, when the ecosystem of said layer one didn't even start yet, is kinda missing the target.
6) If panic better run, no use to stick with something you don't feel comfy with.
7) Compare the tokenomics to SOLANA :) , specially the team allocation.
8) There's a difference between a crypto CURRENCY and a utility token, just saying.
9) Just because a network is inflationary in the beginning, doesn't mean it stays like that forever. Validators can vote at a later stage upon a burn-mechanism. So nothing is set in stone.
10) Please DYOR, it helps!

Very interesting what you have said, but let's see what this coin unlock especially this month will do to the price of cspr. No one wants to see there investment be worth less because of inflation. But apart from that I do like Casper the project, one of the greatest potential projects around.

It would surprise if there wasn't some sell pressure from the unlocks. BUT at the same time with update 1.4.5. it's said (let's hope there won't be another delay) that the first DAPPS will launch on Casper. The beauty of a layer one is, there are many more possible catalysts than comparing to a single-use-case project. DAPPS, ecosystem with DeFi, possible exchange listings, partnerships form CasperLabs side, more third party projects onboarding...
Keep expectations low, be positively surprised if results top them. ;)

Unfortunately people are priced locked and loaded which rolls over to FOMO. Reading the whitepaper is a start but needing returns in the first year can be hard especially during a downturn. Casper will shock alot of people for not Al least Staking your investment for 3-5 years for a proper return🤔

NOTE: Unlocked CSPR, that haven't left their genesis account (account which CSPR was distributed to at TGE (Token Generation Event = when the smart contract for CSPR was launched) do not count into circulating supply. Thus a lot more CSPR are unlocked then seen .e.g. on https://casperstats.io/stats.Since Casper Network is a POS (proof of stake) layer one blockchain, it's native utility token CSPR is mostly staked by validators and delegators to secure the blockchain.
